I just got the EMS USB 2 today in the mail. It does not work. I installed everything, and it locates it, but I get no response from my pad in SM or DWI.

Ok, so a normal controller will work with DDR. When I plug in my Naki DPR 2 pad, it wont work. I can select songs, and I can hit the arrows before the song starts and they register. After the song starts none of the arrows register. Any ideas?

Ok, so it now works in the game controller menu. it also works to make type selections, and song selections. When I hit 2 arrows at once, it freaks out and hits like every key at once and quits menus and does stupid things like that. Any ideas?

you need reconfiguration of it. If it's a digital converter, it's what happened to me one time, then I fixed it. Try using some other driver that lets you reconfigure the buttons like from up to triangle, down to x, left to square, and right to circle, see if that works, because I have no problem with it once I completed my configuration happy.gif.

In SM, turn "Ignore Joy Axes" in Input Options on, then remap the pad (Config Key/Joy).

Already did that spork, doesnt work. As for the first guy, that doesnt make sense. if I set it to x y o and square, it would make itso I was hitting all the corners of my pad, and not the arrows. There have been a significant amount of complaints about this adaptor, and the the exact same problem. Where the hell a I supposed to find different drivers for this also?

my EMU USB2 works just fine..

try (if using XP) unistall all the drives that came with it or ones that you installed and just use the default ones that windows finds for it. I didn't have to install drivers for mine to work correctly. Try another version of DWI or SM to see if it might be a problem with the sim or try another pad(brand) to see if its your particular pad that acts funny.

Both my crappy softpads and my homemade metal one works like a champ on it. I don't know the exact version of SM i'm using, last time i checked it was 3.0Final, i got it around march of '03.

Hope this has helped

Ok, I solved my problem. Thought I would let everyone know. The LED"s on the pad, have major problems with the adapter. Sooo, I cracked open the pad, cut the wires for the LED"s, and boom adapter works now.
