Well, you've most likely heard the post about "What songs in DDR are covers?"

Well... since I'm positive nearly all of the licensed songs in DDR are covers, I was curious if any of the songs were actually ORIGINAL or done by the original artists.

So far, I know of possibly Papaya, Smile.dk, Bambee(?), Bus Stop Feat. Carl Douglas (I'm pretty sure), the 6th mix trance songs (So Deep, Ghosts). Oh yea, I forgot about Little B!tch by The Specials, not the one by Bus Stop... oh, yea and Stomp to my Beat.

Any others? Oh, and correct me if I'm wrong about any of the above.

EDIT:

I forgot Paula Terry. Although most of the stuff on DDR is a KO, I think CSFIL Speed is actually licensed.

I think I didn't really make it clear. I meant mostly in the Japanese licenses. I'm fairly certain that the original versions of the US licenses were used, or at least the original artists.

EDIT 2:

Forgot 2 Unlimited and Dj Alligator Project.

Duran Duran(The Reflex. Aurora feat. Naimee Colemen did a cover of "Ordinary World")
Lange feat. Skye(Drifting Away)
Sarina Paris(Look At Us)
Kylie Minogue(Love At First Sight)
Aaron Carter(Aaron's Party (Come Get It))
Gloria Gaynor(I Will Survive)
KC & The Sunshine Band(Shake Your Booty/That's The Way(I Like It))
Umm...Jenny Rom, E-Rotic and Captain Jack(except In The Navy, which I think was done by The Village People) songs too I guess.
Dont know much about the Japanese licenses.

yikes.... if we were gonna list all the licensed non covers we'd be here all day. And what do you mean by original? 'Cause Bus Stop's Long Train Running is technically an original song that sample a Doobie Brothers song. Even X-Treme mostly does Original songs (except Wonderland which samples Boogie Wonderland as well as steals the lyrics from a Salt 'n Peppa song I can't remember the name of) in that respect. Anyway...

Triple J - Follow The Sun (90 In The Shade Mix)
Raver's Choice - Vol. 4 *falls over laughing from the horrible mistake in the title*
Cubic 22 - Night In Motion
Creamy - I Do I Do I Do
John Desire - Hot Limit
Lady Baby - Follow Me
Mickey - Nothing Gonna Stop (Dancemania Mix)
Lockout - Fantasy
Melissa - Fantasy
anything by Joga
anything by King Kong & D. Jungle Girls
anything by Bambee
anything by Ni-Ni

jeez, I'm too tired to list ALL the non-covers, there's WAY too many.
