I'm fast, but not graceful. I don't deal well with soft pads anymore. They used to be okay, since I didn't go so fast, but not anymore. I know I may be asking for a miracle, but I need to find a hard pad that's reliable, costs around or less than $50, and I can find and buy offline. Can anyone help me out here?

hey, unless you find something at a garage sale, I think odds are a thousand to one that you'll find nethin reliable for under 150. buit good luck

This alone will prove impossible. Even the hard plastic pads (read: CRAP) will usually cost at least double that. Sorry.

You may want to consider a soft pad mod. I use $25 Naki pads and attach them to a foam sheet which is then attached to plywood. Works great for practice, and I've even AAAed a few Light and Standard songs.

Give mods a try if you've got a limited budget.
