So Deep is a great DDR song!!! Before I could never scrape A range, but now I can AA it. I'm going to keep practicing that song to get it under 30 greats.

I still can't gallop - but if there is one song that gives me all the incentive I need to get good at gallops it's So Deep. This song is awesome.

I can pass it now on heavy with single digit misses E15.gif I only wish I could pass it on Doubles, too.

Me.... And SO DEEP... Well, for the past er.. maybe month or two. My last song has almost always be a pathetic attempt at the song. So far the furthest ive gotten is 35/49 through the song (counted on the step charts) and well.. I really cant get that far again, and i dont think any further... But i keep trying, huh? Im estimating a total of 5 dollars (multiplied from 1 song from 50 cents or whatever..).

ANYWAYS.. i love the song and everything, i listen to it a lot and the most amazing ddr experience for me was watching two guys (one on dark boost and the fady thing (sorry i forgot) and reverse doing it together and nearly FC'ing it until the end) completing so deep.. that was so friggin awesome laugh.gif

I love trance songs, and So Deep is no exception. It such a relaxing song and really difficult to do on Maniac. Me being without ready access to a machine haven't gotten to play this song more than once, and it was only on Trick, but it was still fun. I don't know anyone yet that doesn't love the song.

I can full combo everything up until the end of the song, with those precision-demanding gallops and 1/16th chains.

same thing happens to me. i finally figured it out though. after that super quick rest, theres a jump and some 16th notes. i have still yet to fc it.

So Deep is one of the greatest songs EVAR. I can't do this for the life of me on Single Heavy, however double Heavy, I can get a little more than halfway through. The song kicks buttocks.

There's a guy in Staten Island who can do So Deep Backwards. After seeing him do that I was stricken with fanboism of So Deep.

So Deep...is my favorite song, period.

I love the beat. I love the sounds. I love the "trancey-ness" of it.

And, of course, I love the steps.

They are a challenge, they are at times painful, but I love them. It is the only 9-footer that gives me trouble (that and CH).

B!tchin' song.

Yeah, I stealth it too. But it was only cause I whored the song so much. :-) The song is so cool that after maybe 4 months, I memorized the patterns. I didn't really need to read arrows anymore. I just looked for the next group of patterns and my feet knew what to do. Well, after a week of playing & memorizing the sequence of patterns(which is quite easy), I finally was able to stealth it.

I've been stealthing it for 8 months now and it's fun as hell. And doing it MiRROR is great cause you get to see the look on people's faces. Usually a perplexed look. Some people even go as far as to look around for a mirror or a reflection to see if I'm cheating or seeing the arrows some other way. LOL. And I usually get 410-425 perfects in stealth mode. But last Sat, I finally AA'ed it on back-to-back sessions. Both on extra-stage, not stealth. Can't believe it took me about a year to finally AA it.

IMHO, it's the best DDR song EVER!

So far.. this "Hate or Love" thread has only been filled with love... I suppose its not really a hate kinda thing because nobody has posted anything bad about it except for the steps being hard..

I used to love that song to death. Now it's just one of my bitches. Sync is now my favorite song, but I'm sure that'll change in a few weeks.

So Deep is also one of my favorite.. Even though I've failed it for quite a long time on Maniac.
In fact, its the last song on single that I've passed on Euromix2.. Max300 included riiight.gif
And the first cata I've passed on double erm.gif

Why So Deep is one of my favorite songs:

* Good music
* Fun steps that go well with the music
* Cool background
* Nice gallop practice
* Repetitive, yet challenging steps are easy to learn

Why So Deep is one of my most HATED songs:

* Arrows too close together, requries 2x speed or 1.5x with boost
* Repetitive music.... I find it irratating to hear 1 out of every 3 times I play it (the other 2/3 of the time, I don't hate the music).
* Boring blue background.... at least Max300 has spikey things.....
* Too many steps. 500 steps and not a full beat in between any two arrows? WTF, I'm tired just thinking about it

And finally....

Why So Deep is a song I only play every other time I go:
* I get tired just thinking about playing it. In fact, I'm tired right now.

In conclusion, I love So Deep....... two... thirds of the time..... and the other 1/3.... I hate it.... a lot.

=^__^=

Sort of related to this thread...

I just listened to another song named "So Deep' by an artist named Ann Lee.

It's definitely a different song, but parts of it sound very familiar in a strange way...
