Yup, they are two different people. And they've worked together on more than one song. I can't really think of any right now besides Sync, Summer Vacation, and Quasar, but I'm sure there are more. When they work together they go under the name "Outphase".

They worked on Sync, Summer Vacation, .59 Live, and Quazar. To be honest, I think that they all suck. The only one I like is Summer Vacation, just because it doesn't sound like a typical trance song.
But yeah, TAKA and TaQ are both different people.

Summer Vacation isn't trance- it's Trip Hop.
EDIT: Or did you mean sync? That's one of the few trance songs that I like.

Uh, I know that. That's what I meant by "not a typical trance song".
And while we're on the subject, whether the song is really Trip Hop is also questionable. But whatever. I still like it, because it has a nice beat to it.

According to the artist profile section of the DDR MAX instruction manual for PS2, Maeda Naoki != Ishikawa Takayuki. They are also two different people. They too have made a song together (possibly more, I only know DDR songs). It's called Kakumei. Taka gets top billing.

TaQ has made songs other than Bemani ones since he started working with Konami. Note the two songs at the top of his WorQ page.
And I can't honestly believe that people think that Summer Vacation is actually Trip Hop. It was a joke. TRIP Hop? Summer Vacation? The video is of someone driving to the beach?
Don't worry, I didn't get it for a while either.
It's probably better classified as Big Beat. The OTHER Trip Hop song on IIDX (Dune) is quite legitimately trip hop, as far as I'm concerned.

Sync is overrated.. and annoying.. Quazar sounds like Traces + taka.. and .59 live is ok..EDiT and was things of maneri in any bemani?... I still like it |
