Well i was thinking, most of us call 9 footers catas. Now that there is enough 10 footers, should we just call em 10 footers? Or is there a name we should give em........i dunno i was just thinkin _________________

No, because cata was just given from what 3rd mix used to call them. DDR stopped naming the difficulty levels, so they're just called 10s. |

I used to think Apocalyptic would be a good name for 10 footers But lets call them.... PIE! _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

DDR stopped assigning names to the difficulty levels on 4th mix. For the sake of argument (as this comes up time and again) if a 10-footer were to have a name, it would fit in like this:
SIMPLE, MODERATE, ORDINARY, SUPERIOR, MARVELOUS, GENUINE, PARAMOUNT, EXORBITANT, CATASTROPHIC, APOCALYPTIC
This is the the generally agreed term for something worse than "catastrophic". Sounds cool too. But it's just a 10-footer! Don't use the term unless you want to sound silly. |

Uh, why not just call them 10-foot songs, and just leave it at that?
Not like we call 8-footers "Exhorbitant", anymore, or 7-footers "Paramount", right? _________________

Why call it PIE when you can call it... PI! 3.14159265358979323846264338... Math is good. But so is pie. So how about calling it Pie Squared? If this is making no sense, don't worry. _________________

I've never passed a Pie. I've tried to pass Max 300 but I failed. I stayed away from the others since. If I can pass Matsuri, R&P, Breakdown, and Tsugaru (off the top of my head for catas) do you think I could pass Sakura? I hear that's a really easy Pie. If I could pass a Pie I could make people go 'wow'. _________________

Pie it is. No offense to PI^2, but I like whole numbers and rounding PI^2 would end up being 9.
So, Sakura is the "easy-as (easiest) pie", Bag is the "slowest pie" (hard to swallow, oy), and Genom Screams is a "double pie"... _________________

Catastrophic - strophic = Cata....
Apocolyptic - ... ummmm.... how about this..... Apcolyptic = Pie
I like these names actually.... esp. Pie because the word Apoc isn't as cool as Cata.
Everyone use these words in your profiles so they are not forgotten =-P
The board rules state the admins don't want us putting our CATAs passed in our profiles.... but nowhere does it say we can't list our PIEs now does it? ^^

There seems to be some confusion over my idea of pie squared. I didn't mean Pi squared which would end up being 9-point-something, I meant... Nevermind, forget I said anything, I don't understand what I said before anyway. It had nothing to do with numbers though. It was a nerd joke. Pie is good. And if you only make it a little way through the song, you can say you had a slice of pie!!! _________________

ugh.. any word associated with a foot rating in ddr is lame now. they only used it for 3 mixes, and the most popular term "cata," was only used for ONE mix nearly 4 years ago. so yeah... _________________
