Does anyone know how to adjust the volume on a DDR machine? I was at the arcade today biggrin.gif and the arcade had the volume turned way down. You could hear the pads more than the music. And nobody was stomping or anything. (we have 5th mix btw) I found this little knob at the rear of the right subwoofer, but I didn't do anything to it cuz I don't know what it does. can anybody fill me in?

The arcade operator (or anyone with the key) needs to unlock the front coin door. There are two knobs inside there. One is volume control. The other is bass/treble. The best time to adjust these is of course when music is playing, like on the song selection screen.

I know I'd be happier if these controls were outside of the machine.

You need someone with the keys to open up the door beneath the machine. E15.gif

Also, I forgot to mention, The arcade people said that if they turned the machine up, it would "make too much noise". I was playing Drop-Out and I might as well have been deaf. disgust.gif as most of you probably know, when you're playing Drop-Out, Matsuri Japan, and other really hard maniac songs, the music is REALLY important. Not that's it's important in other songs, but....you get the idea.

MAKE TOO MUCH NOISE?!?! The arcade near here is connected to the food court, and I was halfway down the court (which was full of chatty people) and I distinctivly heard Paranoia Evolution. I don't think that's too loud, cause loud is good. Loud makes people hear. People that hear it might pay attention. If they pay attention, they will look for the sound. If they find the sound, they find somebody on DDR. But how many people hear in the first place? Jeeze, I have GOT to stop talking so much.

i was at carmike cimema's and all you heard was an occasional bass to the songs you couldn't hear it at all unless no one was talking around you or anything. Then my sister, (who also couldn't hear) starting talking loudly next to the worker guy about how she couldn't hear a thing and people will stop doing DDR and paying money if they can't hear the music but he didn't do anything
