What artists in the DDR games are from America? The only three that I think are: Darude, JS16, and Reel 2 Reel. What others are there? _________________

THe Olivia Project (Xanadu, Have you ever been mellow) is Olivia Newton-John. Uhh... the girl who did Bad Girls, I think the cover bands for WWRY and WATC from Extreme are AMerican, could be wrong. Imma go out on a limb and aslo assume Mr. Ed Jumps the Gun who did the cover of Smoke is also american. Scotty D is too I think. NOt toally sure,s omone smar help this guy out... |

Okay, uhmn.. some corrections here. Darude and JS16 are both from different places in Europe. Olivia Newton-John is Australian. I know Scotty D is from the US, and I think Paula Terry might be American, as well. _________________

Mr. Ed Jumps The Gun is not an American group. Their English is terrible to the point of being unintelligable. Heck, even Mr. Brian had better English when he sang Crash. I'm also fairly certain that The Houseboys and Live 2 Love aren't American, the singers for both have pretty distinct accents. Although, there ARE a good number of American bands that got licensed for DDR. EPMD, for example, are very much an American group, and were pretty poplar here in the late 80s. KC & The Sunshine Band is also American and you can hear them on your local oldies station as often as you want. Interestingly, their two songs that were used in DDR are the same ones that were used to make Goldmember's theme... The thing is, there isn't really a lot of dance music made in the states anymore. Not saying there isn't any coming outta here, just that there's tons more coming out of Europe.
As far as songs that were popular in America, that's also an abysmally low number. Sandstorm, Stomp To My Beat, I Like To Move It, Ordinary World, The Reflex, Tubthumping... I'm afraid that's all that comes to mind. A very select few people will recognize Twilight Zone, Get Up (Before The Night Is Over), Little doggy and Night In Motion. America's just not a very happenin' party _________________

I believe Thomas Howard (the guy who did Silent Hill) is american. I'm not sure on Paula Terry, but her official site (www.paulaterry.com) is entierly in English.
As for popular american groups Darude appeared in DDRMAX, and Dirty Vegas is slated to appear in DDRMAX2. _________________

I don't know if he played the Commander, but I know the Commander was named after him.

That would be because they're German. _________________

Wow! Paula Terry has her own website. Funny she only mentions singing Love Again Tonight for KOJ, yet she's recored like, 20 DDR songs, Including Beatmania/Para Para (Drivin', L'amour et la liberte, Hyper Eurobeat) maybe the website's just old. _________________

What about Scooch, the singer of More Than I Needed To Know? She sure sounds like one. And what about Lange feat. Skye(Drifting Away)? _________________

The Specials are either Brithish or from the UK. They're actually a pretty popular ska band, releasing many songs other than Little doggy. I believe their official site can be found here:
www.thespecials.com
EDIT: The Specials are British, and the link does go to their official website. _________________
