y'know.. when they create a total new MACHINE type.
I'd say i'd love AC blowin out da machine. And maybe If you press 3 buttons in the middle of a song it pauses for 10 sec, but he arrows dissapear during the break. (one per game and if you use one you cant get a hi-score) _________________

I wouldn't mind Half-doubles, like in PIU. Also, more mods for the arrows. The stuff you see in Stepmania would rock. _________________

a compartment under the pad equipped with a large hand so at any time you can push the button and the hand comes up and slaps any irritating little kid or parent near you. . . _________________

Well for putting a fence or cage all they have to do is make the bar wrap around, like in the For Better or For Worse strip. |

Personally I think if they made the bar like the For Better or Worse comic, that would be something new, particularly for fresstylers. Also, they should put couples mode back in...I think that was a pretty cool idea.
Oh, and something...I don't know what...but something to prevent matrix walking. _________________

Half-doubles would be a cool addition, but i don't really see how it'd work with DDR.
Solo mode would be cool (6-panel?) as we've never had anything like that in europe
Songs should break away from the usual techno/trancey stuff, more rock and punk would make ddr appeal to a wider audience _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Console Only:
A Story Mode! WOW!
Here's how it'd work:
1. Create charecter, using a create-a-player screen like The Sims, Tony Hawk 2+, Wrestling Games, etc.
2. There would be a tournament ladder that progressed up and up.
3. A Match would be played like this:
In each stage three songs would be played. The songs depend on the person your playing. One person would do Easy-Slow songs (like Remember You Light) , one would do Hard-Fast (like Matsuri Japan Heavy), etc. The FINAL Boss would give you MaxX Unlimited, Max 300, and Legend of MaxX.
The lifebar is like a health bar instead of the traditional lifebar. It starts full, but once it goes down, you cannot bring it back up.
The Computer's score is cauculated as followed:
Every time you get a combo 20 or higher with perfects/greats, the computer loses as much life as they would as a Boo/Almost. 40 combo= another Boo for them, etc. But if you get a 20 or higher with all perfects, then the computer loses as much life as a Miss. On harder songs, it might be a 30 combo or even 40! After a "Boo" combo, your combo meter resets.
Now, about those charecters...
Instead of showing the computer's arrows, you see they're and your charecters dancing. The better you do, the better they do. The more Boo's they get, the worse they do. Same with your N.G.'s, Boos, and Misses.
The 3 songs are done non-stop, with a half lifebar refill, or, on real hard songs, a full life-bar refill.
That's it! Simple But it WORKS... |

More detailed music videos, Konami Edit Steps, and more Beatmania songs would be nice.
What I mean by Konami Edit Steps is like how...uh...hmmm
Challenge Steps are like what Konami thinks advanced heavy mode steps would be like, well what if they did that for certain songs, but also on Light, Standard/etc.
Also, longer Hi Score ranking would be cool, like 1 through 50 instead of 1-5. And also maybe personalized cards? _________________

No.
What would make DDR better? Instead of a new machine, how about some BETTER SONGS, instead of crappy sped-up remixes? _________________

Haha a chain link fence surounding the machine and a little metal door that lets you in and out.
That would be too cool. |

here is my list....
1.more "danceable" songs in stead of the crap that has been out lately that isnt even dance music (hence the game name).
2.a big screen (like the punp it up machines)
3.bring back the characters and make them cel-animated
4.louder and better sound system.
5.new color layout for the arrows on the stage
6.a bar layout like on the "Better for worse" comic
7.more licensenced songs from the dancemania albums
8.have a home version to arcade mode (like the edits) only for the characters, where you can create your own characters and load them up in the aracade machines and play as them.
9.get rid of beginner mode again
10.bring back battle mode
thats about it. |

I agree with 2, possibly 3, 4, 7, 8 is a very good idea, however characters are sometimes distracting, 9... they should just make it so beginner mode doesn't take away the background, and 10.

The monitor needs a pair of arms that grabs and breaks both the legs of anybody who attempts to matrix walk. |

For all you people talking about Software modifications (songs, mods, half doubles, etc), you're wrong. He said "IIDX" of DDR because IIDX 9th Style has a whole different cabinet from the other mixes. So he's talking about hardware modifications and cabinet changes. _________________
