DDR and Jesus don't mix. Sorry.
I am not particularly religous, but that just seems wrong. _________________

Not every DDR player is a Christian. or a strong Christian. Mixing DDR and Religion is well... kinda. It's not that it's bad. you see ddr isn't the most E for everyone game and is in no way christ like. I'm a Christian too. but anyways Now that I think about it. This isn't mixing. (well it kinda is).
Just make Christian DDr shirts and Non-ddr shirts. and people please have some respect for people and their religion. ( not that you guys said anything bad yet.) because we respect your rules, your forum and not to flame or anything that relates to this forum.
I know Religion makes people feel uncomfortable. I at times do myself. you know why? It's because you feel convicted and don't want anything to do with god. I don't mean to force Christianity on you people but that's just what I'm telling you.
I'm sorry if I offended anybody in any manner of what I've spoken. If you can't understand this. I'm sorry I couldn't explain it any better.
Btw I don't play E-rotic songs! |

I beg to differ. Chrono Trigger is based of off the Bible.

Religion is a sticky subject.
So if you plan to market to the masses, I would stay away from it.
And Phrek is right, we wouldn't wear a shirt of jesus playing ddr.

Rofl, I must say that Chrono Trigger based off the bible is hilarious. I didnt know jesus went though time to save people with swords and robotic companions beating up mutants and people. |

Given enough time, you can find relations to the bible and any work of fiction. Just because someone decided to find a bunch of relations to the bible doesn't mean it has any meaning. And you end with some rude insults. Your entire post has made you look like a fool. Congradulations. |

To be honest, I think it depends on who you're marketing to. If you're selling to a christian group that happens to play DDR, then there's nothing wrong with having shirts for that group that feature DDR. If you're trying to sell a product to your local group of DDR players, then it's probably best to limit it to DDR influences, unless your local players are primarily christian. If they're not, then it's probably best to not mix. Trying to market shirts to christian DDR players seems like too small of a niche group to have any real success. _________________

I don't know dude... there's some pretty convincing evidence there. I would normally tend to agree with your point. But after reading the site there's just way too much to deny. The most obvious is the 3 wiseman and the gifts they give.

I don't know. I mean, if you know people that want them (people who play DDR, profess to the Christian faith, and are willing to pay for shirts like these) then go ahead and make some for 'em. But personally I'm just kind of tired of seeing Christian themed t-shirts that awkwardly work in references to popular culture. I have to wonder why I never see anyone wearing t-shirts with Jewish or Islamic scripture on them. Though I don't follow their beliefs, I respect their religions for maintaining a sense of dignity about their beliefs. They never really sold out the way that Western Christians have.
DDR is a very social game so there's obviously lots of opportunities to talk to other people about what you believe in, but I don't think t-shirts (or bowing one's head to pray before a song starts) are good evangelism tactics.
Of course, I'm not really into evangelism myself. Do what you feel is right. |

in response to the guy above me I'm Muslim and I have seen a few religious shirts here and there but most of them just have Allah (the arabid word for God) written on them. I refuse to wear anything religious mainly because I believe it kindof forces your beliefs on someone else and I don't really want to argue with anyone about religion (which I have unfortunately been argued with on a few occasions). So anyways in response to the author of the thread I would recommend against making religious DDR shirts. Whenever I see someone "representing" their religion (which oft times is a christian) I always sort of groan to myself. I don't really see the need to constantly tell people "Hey I'm Christian, How cool is that?" it's YOUR religion keep others out of it, its between you and God. Maybe I'm the only one who believes religious "gear" is stupid but those are my two cents. |

You're not the only one. I also feel that way. You don't see me constantly telling people, "I'm Atheist!!!!!" |
