The Stepmania developers are planning Technomotion support. However, they need information on how it works. I'm also curious, and will start on simfiles once I can find out the following:
http://www.f2.co.kr/technomotion/esecret.htm has stepcharts, and they have some strange 'hidden' steps.
http://www.f2.co.kr/technomotion/egamemode.htm contains the following code:
Extra Hidden steps viewing for a moment
How do these 'hidden' steps work? |

Looks like I got the answer:
Shuey187 (9:24:21 PM): hidden is like this thing where they are kinda extra steps that you have to know about that you can't see when playing...they are like "extra" steps that you can score off of
DrSPUI (9:24:33 PM): weird
DrSPUI (9:24:52 PM): what happens when you have a l-r jump and there's a hidden up-down jump?
Shuey187 (9:25:14 PM): probably have to use hands I guess
I guess you can enter codes during gameplay. |

Nope. There is an expert mode code you can enter that will make the hidden steps appear. My friend and I were playing, and I entered the expert code, and our steps were the same but I had extra ones like the hidden ones on the chart. _________________

I was looking at the stepchart site, and a thought had crossed my mind...
Technomotion is part DDR, part PIU. Since both of them are already in the game, perhaps there is a way to add Technomode to both of those skins instead of giving it its own mode...for it almost seems pointless to give Technomotion its own mode for...one mode. |
