I believe Against All Odds is Phil Collins. Though I could be wrong.
Witch Doctor - Ray Stevens (?)
Somewhere over the Rainbow - Judy Garland, obviously
It Only Takes A Minute - Take That

EDIT: Etude in C Minor - Chopin sounds like Kakumei.

I am sure "It's Raining Men" is from Geri Haliwell. She was one of the Spice Girls, well back in the day. Now doing solo work.

Kung Fu Fighting - Carl Douglas
Let's Get Down - JT Playaz
Little Doggy - The Specials
I Believe In Miracles - Not sure.
All of Captain Jack songs = Captain Jack, he's a real artist who does Eurobeat/dance.
End Of The Century - Beethoven 9th
Dam Dariram - Joga, is real I think.
Lupin The 3rd '78 - Based off the Japan Anime cartoon.
All of 2 Unlimited songs = Real artist!
DJ Taka/Taq Songs are all real!!
BeForU are real J-Pop artists.
Kosaka Riyu - You betcha! biggrin.gif
Centre Of The Heart - Sounds familar.
Freckles - Based off a Japan Anime cartoon, intro I believe.
Telephone Operator - Peter Shelley
I Feel... - Akira Yamaoka
There You'll Be - Faith Hill
Blow My Whistle Doggy - DJ Alligator Project
Livin' In America - I smell a James Brown wanna be.
Look At Us - Sarina Paris
Ever Snow - You know it! E15.gif
V - Winter
Sandstorm - Darude
Don't Want To Miss A Thing - Aerosmith

For shame! "It's Raining Men" was originally done by the Pointer Sisters. Geri covered it (ashamedly, I admit I like her cover better than the original) for the Bridget Jones movie.

Quote:
Let's Get Down - JT Playaz
Remixed from "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang.
Quote:
I Believe In Miracles - Not sure.
I think it actually WAS done by Hi-Rise, originally.
Quote:

BeForU are real J-Pop artists.
From what I understood, they're artists that wrote songs specifically for Bemani, which is why they were usable in Konamix.
Quote:
Freckles - Based off a Japan Anime cartoon, intro I believe.
Cover of "Sobakasu," by Judy and Mary. OP1 for Rurouni Kenshin.
Quote:
Livin' In America - I smell a James Brown wanna be.
Yeah, it's partly off the James Brown song (the chorus), but it also includes riffs taken from "Dixieland," that ol'American traditional.[/quote]

Sakura is based on an old Japanese folksong of the same name.
La Copa de la Vida, I would assume, is a cover of the Ricky Martin original (the English version was called "The Cup of Life").
Highs Off You takes riffs from Frankie Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" (covered in Conspiracy Theory by Lauryn Hill)
I'm guessing that "Ordinary World" was based on the original Duran Duran(?) song, but I haven't heard the DDR version.
Cartoon Heroes was originally done by Aqua, as someone eloquently pointed out in another thread.

Can't think of any other songs offhand.

You forgot that Wonderland was originally done by the same folks that originally did Lets Groove, Earth Wind and Fire. Rhythm and Police was originally done by this japanese folk singer. Never heard it though.

I have no problem with people doing a list of covered songs, but please, people, make sure they're COVERS.

Look At Us is not a cover.
Sandstorm is not a cover.
I Like To Move It is not a cover.
Centre Of The Heart is not a cover.
The Whistle Song is not a cover.

Neither is Get Up (Before The Night Is Over), I Feel, Little Bitch, Telephone Operator, The Reflex, or Tubthumping.

Remember - "cover" means a rendition of a piece originally written by someone else. Not "the song by the original artist". And the large majority of Konami Originals - outside the occasional classical piece redone as techno - aren't covers either.

You might want to look at the list someone else has compiled, here. There are two links at the bottom of that page - one for 1st-5th mix, one for Max/Max2 songs. (Extreme is not...er...covered.)

I can safely say that I believe in miracles IS a cover of The Jackson Sisters song of the same name.

Quote:
It Only Takes A Minute - Take That

I thought that It Only Takes a Minute was done by Tavares. I remember hearing an original ver. from the 70's done by them, and that the DDR 3rd mix ver. was a remix...

It's Raining Men was originally done by The Weather Girls, not The Pointer Sisters.

The Weather Girls were good singers but very overweight. This prevented them from becoming more than a 1 hit wonder. The music industry never considered them to have much potential. Sadly It's Raining Men has been redone by numerous other artists without giving credit to The Weather Girls.

All the songs from Dancemania J-Paradise are covers, including but not limited to:

Hot Limit - T.M. Revolution (a truly great song)
Romansu no Kamisama - Koumi Hirose
Be Together - Ami Suzuki
Petit Love - Morning Musume (not sure which division..)

Both Cat's Eye and Lupin the 3rd are TV themes. I'm also sure Rhythm and Police is as well, but I'm not confirming that.
