8 button pad???

WHy do they have a 8 button pad? Is the new DDR like that? They have it at mymybox.com

I got one of them for christmas but I have no idea why they have down-right and down-left

Almost every pad is "8 button". The fact that the pad shows the arrows being down-left and down-right doesn't change the fact that they're triangle and square - just like the up-left and up-right buttons are actually X and O.
