|
|
Has anyone ever gone to an arcade and was about to play DDR until you notice it's in a bad location in the arcade?
For example (in many of the arcades): I went to one of the DDR Machines in one of my local arcades, started inserting some quarters until I noticed the freaken bathroom right next to it...little did I know how BAD someone needed to "number 2" therefore costing me Can't Stop Falling in Love (Speed Mix) to FAIL. x_X;;
-and-
I was playing near a smoke tray thingy...someone distinguished their cigarette there, but the smoke kept on going and going until I was freaking out because of the continuous blow of smoke...ugh.. _________________

I hate it when an arcade groups all the music games together in an extremely small space, and then they crank the volume up on the music game right next to the DDR machine. _________________

Pizza Factory's placement is horrible, right next to the skiball machines. It is loud as hell because the little kids some reason can't figure out that you roll the ball not try to throw it through the plastic barrier, even though I play on the far side of the machine because the 1p pad better but I still have been pegged by 3 skiballs =/ .. I'm lucky the 2p side isn't the better pad the balls always go onto that pad |

Don't you just hate it when not only do they group music games together, but they leave the volume on for the music game even when it is not being played. That really bugs me.
I don't understand the logic of grouping musical games together in the first time. They just get in the way of each other. |

Mine has the pads about two inches away from the screen, AND there is noooooo airflow. None at all, so not only do you get soaked with sweat quickly, but it's a pain in the buttocks to play so close. IT's literally two inches or less away from the screem. . .>_< _________________

Well, ours is nice. It's out in the open, right near the counter so we can get drinks, they put a fan out for us (yes, for us), and it gets lots of 'look at me' time. The only problem is that the Rush2064 cabnets have their volume up a little too high, so sometimes your hear stuff like 'Fallin' in lo-oo-oo-oo-VROOM VROOM -ve' (You all had better know what song that is).
PS. This topic would probably make more sense in DDR Arcade forum. _________________

Hey Small_Smiley!
Which DDR location are you talking about that's in a bad area of the arcade? Of all the locations that I've been to (in the Southern CA region), I've been to more Bad locations than good. Factors like no air circulation, the volume of the machine is either Too Soft or Too Loud, no access to restrooms and/or water facitilites, and unruly people make up a lot of Bad locations. But with the bad, there are GOOD/GREAT/FANTASTIC/PERFECT/MARVELOUS DDR/Bemani locations out there. Is that a trip or what? Please reply, over! Thanks!

sorry to inform you but arcades only have so much room. if you don't like the placement, you have 2 options.
1: Ask a manager if they could possibly move the machine (chances are there will be no other space to put ddr in seeing how it takes up a lot of space)
2: Don't play there anymore.
and here's a step that should really be taken into consideration:
This thread should be in the Arcade forum! ! ! _________________
