We all know everyone here will say DDR is the best out of all those cheap inmitations out there.

I just came back from a Las Vegas trip and saw mostly PIU machines everywhere. Of course I saw an occational DDR machine (USA mix) but they weren't being touched. Everybody was at the PIU's and I never knew there were so many PIU versions.

Also saw Techno Motion (only 1 if I might add). Tried it, and it actually played good. No load times either. Problem is you can't change difficulty during play(far as I saw and I played 3 times) for example press down twice fast in DDR. But that 9 feet and a couple of good songs is what's keeping Techno Motion alive.

I just wonder what'll take or keep it's throne as king. I personally think Techno Motion has the potential of beating DDR if it had a longer song list. PIU won't stand a chance as long as they have that dang load time.

pump machines, if properly taken care of and not a crap version (I'm looking at YOU premier 2 and 3) actually don't have a very long load time at all.

And heres an interesting fact for you, Technomotion was made by F2 Systems, the same people that made Pump it up Extra, one of the absolute BEST versions of pump made

I think the top 3 machines are DDR, IIDX, and PPP, with those around no other machines stand a chance thumb.gif

It's too bad Andamiro lost the lawsuit against Konami. Now Andamiro can no longer create Pump It Up mixes that up until DDR Max, were every bit as good as DDR in every way.

However the Pump It Up machine at the mall I often visit rarely gets played. I am afraid that Pump It Up simply couldn't interest enough people to learn it's diagonal style.

Also Kakumei is correct about DDR and IIDX being among the top 3 machines. However GF and DM are far more popular than PPP, which is unfortunate.
