Let's hope things get smoother on Sunday, when the tour hits Cincinnati.

Should be interesting.

They're 4th Solos being played in 4-arrow mode. Don't spread stupid rumors.

okie check this out. Indy was real slow. No one came out except for a handful of people. They were cool though.

After the show was over, our labor crew broke another ddr machine. So we are down for 4 solo machines.

I incourage as many people as possible to come out to Cincinatti because the more people there are, the better the day runs and so does the tournament.

Congrats to G for winning. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Come out to get free stuff from dance fever and your local radio station. It will be fun.

Holy crap......

Please tell me you're kidding....

Please tell me you simply haven't read everything else in this thread.....

THIS GUY = DUM.

No offense, but if you would of read everything else in this thread, then you'd know that it's on Solo 6-Panel machines, and the comp is only on 4-panel mode.....

Yet another reason why I hate playing DDR because of people like this.....

The machines have been confirmed as 4th Solo machines. There is no need to spread this rumor.

I have one gripe about the new tourney though:

If the comp is supposed to promote DDR and be playable by non-players, then why are the Semi and Finalists doing 7-feet songs to Catas? Where's the logic in that? If you want to get good dancers that have no DDR skills on the show, then you should at least give these players a quick lesson or some sort of handicap.

NO DDR PLAYERS WILL BE ON THE SHOW. This is strictly a promotion gimmic. The point of having people do catas is that they are trying to win something. There needs to be a challenge.

As for non-players: All they want is publicity. They don't care if non-players are able to do it or not. The whole point is publicity. People may chance a glance at the competitions, see that Dance Fever is putting it on, then when it comes time for the show to air, they'll say to themselves "Hey, I remember seeing that Dance Fever thing in the mall, I wonder what the show's like." And then they will watch it, thus the show gets exposure.

I don't really understand why they'd want to put a comp like this on television... I mean.. if they're going to use parts of the comps as lead-ins or whatever on this show... I think, if anything, DDR players are going to get ragged on even harder by people who've never played.

Again, there will not be any footage of these competitions on the actual show and DDR will not be featured on the show.

Man I'm really sorry I read all 9 pages of this thread. It's amazing how so many people cannot read/type/grasp simple concepts. It boggles my mind.

I hope you know that suicide at any age is illegal in the US.

Amen Echelon!!!

Actually, I was doing some math and from the looks of it, the winners get tickets to the last show of Dance Fever. See, it starts on the 13th, and there's only 7 competitors in it. (or couples, I should say) So when you factor it out, the show ends August 24th, to which the wrap part follows.

So yeah.....there's more incentive for ya.......go to the finale of the show, maybe.

And for the actual show, just think American Idol meets Dirty Dancing.... At least the dance competition part of Dirty Dancing.....not the Patrick Swayze Sex Machine part....

HOWEVER......

Even then, the contract we had to sign said NOTHING about manditory attendance to the wrap party. So I'll probably still be at either the bar or casino......or maybe playing IIDX 9th style if they have it by then..... =)))

At this rate they won't have any Solo machines left by the time this thing is over with.

Hopefully when they hit MI there will still be at least 4 machines.

well I doubt any of the machines will get fixed.

Cincinatti ran pretty smooth today. Met a lot of new people who have pretty good skill. Hope Columbus will run alright too....

Congrads to Bryan....

Oooh a good question Praster.

What will happen with the machines after this whole publicity/tournament thing is over?

Hehe, perhaps prizes at the final show?

Here's to hoping.

Can you enter more than one of these competitions? I'm going to the Birmingham one, and if I don't win am I allowed to enter in Atlanta as well?

If I am home at the time, I'm going to try to go to the Philly one even though I doubt I have a chance at winning.

Ok a few of my friends want to go and just play freeplay on the machines. The are nnot 18 yet and I have a question about the parental consent. Does your parent actually have to be there, or can they bring a note?

I'm just trying to figure out the technicalities of Parental Consent on this tour. So Praster if you could help i'd appreciate it.
