Thats new to me. It looks reliable, but then again, looks can be misleading. I tried digging for some info, but nothing turned up. If you want it, take a chance.

But seriously, $80 for a metal pad?!?!??! This seems too good to be true. I bet the "lucite" will break soon though. I don't care, I would pay $80 for just the metal frame. As soon as I get cash, this is mine.

If it's too good to be true, It prbly is. If a DDR pad is cheap, it sucks. I can vouch for that.

Less expensive pads use cheaper material, which is why they're cheaper and break more often. CobaltFlux is pretty similar to the newer MMB pads or whatever, but the MMB pads uses Acrylic panels last I checked, which isn't as strong, but cheaper, than lexan which the CF uses. Also, the base of the CF isn't made of wood, according to the site, its made of some polymer that is really strong and won't break easily.
