I was reading Entertainment Weekly the other day and they had a section called "The 100 Best Video Games of All Time", and Dance Dance Revolution was number 40th on their list...Final Fantasy vII was #12....I would have picked FF7 #1..but back to DDR...I saw it on ET mag.

It's actually Op. 10 No. 12 "Revolutionary", but close. E13.gif

i heard Afronova Primeval at Finley's Fun Center (a skating rink). And not from the MAX2 machine either, it was over the loudspeakers, and people were skating listening to it.

I saw a movie trailer today (Freaky Friday, I think it's by Disney but I'm not sure.) and it had So Fabulous So Fierce (Freak Out) in it.

I know Freak Out is a licensed song, but it was kind of interesting.

The July 6th edition of Lynn Johnston's comic strip For Better Or For Worse shows an arcade where the mother character tries an obviously DDR looking game (actually, except for the bar, it is very obviously DDR).

Damnit, you beat me to it.
The daughter of the family and her friends are wandering in the arcade when they decide to play DDR. Their parents are waiting for them at the door and get impatient, so the mom decides to go into the arcade to look for them. When the father goes into the arcade to look for his wife, he finds her playing DDR. Everything gives it away that it's DDR, except the bar extends all the way around the stage (actually that would be good for prevention of little kids. hmmm...) Very witty, the first pro-ddr media I've ever seen.

Yeah I just read that comic today. I was very surprised.
But I think the one I read was a little different than one shown in the link that was posted.

Is it just me or does the background on the screen in the comic look like the background to Trip Machine from first mix except divided, or is it just me?

Anybody notice the black line seperating the player's arrows? Is it supposed to be 2 television screens? If it is, it must be a very extravagant machine!

I always look at the comics on Saturday but i had a friend over so i was looking over them today but skipped the second page except for dilbert. WHen i got on and read this I immediatly rushed for the paper and cut out the strip putting it in with my collection of really funny strips. I coudn't belive it when i saw it though! DDR must be getting real popular as you seeing it in more and more arcades it's become something you see a lot. Thats why your seeing it in tv shows and the such.
