OK, I like DJ nagureo. A lot. 5.1.1., Rest My Mind, patsenner, Kamikaze, 20 November...he's great under his tiger YAMATO alias as well.

But there's one thing that annoys me...all the hate for nagureo, especially 5.1.1. normally this wouldn't bother me, but I've heard MANY people say that they hate 5.1.1. (DDR MAX USA newbies and such) and here's the thing: THEY NEVER GIVE ME A DECENT REASON. It's always a comment about the steps on Heavy or something.

So if someone who hates DJ nagureo could tell me why, I'd be happy. happy.gif

dj nagureo is weird. Either he makes excellent songs, or complete trash.

Hey cmcm... sounds like Slake... no wait, ALL OF SLAKE'S STUFF IS CRAP.

Some of Naguero's stuff is plain, while other's is really good. A lot of the old BM 5 Key artists were very hit and miss, like RAM or Asletics.

The only good song he made was Gambol. It's amazing that in his entire sea of crap, he makes a superbly ass-kicking song.

And dj Naguero is one of my favs. I've liked all of his songs so far, especially 20, November and Deep In You.

I dislike how empty the song sounds. There really isn't anything to 5.1.1 but a weak piano and some background beat, that's about it. I'm not dogging the guy, I like his other stuff, but I just dislike 5.1.1. Hopefully that's a good enough reason. E4.gif

I don't hate him. Actually I'm not too familiar with him.
But let me ask this as a DJ.
Is he profficient with turntables? (i.e. basic beat matching)
Does he skratch?

I'm so sorry that the rest of the world doesn't subscribe to the same definition of the term 'DJ' as you do.

You've beaten the dead horse. There's nothing left. Let it go and get over it.

Cesar, I'm amazed you're expressing even a remote interest in a Beatmania artist.

His songs certainly contain more "skratches" than any other Beatmania artist, save maybe a handful of the Sampling Masters songs (Rottel-Da-Sun).

Is he good with turntables? Who knows? He's the music director for most of the 5 key games. As such, he's done a huge range of music, from House to Big Beat, Soul to 80's Disco, Techno to Dub Pop. And yes, he's done a large number of Hip Hop songs - Keep On Liftin' remains one of my all time favorites.

You hit the head on the nail, or whatever. He's right. Everything just sounds so plain and empty, and 5.1.1. I really dislike, just because all it is, is a quiet piano, with very simplistic beats going on in the background. 20, November, ugh, that's just bad.

If you truly think so you should join in at the various conversations at seminars and other DJ gatherings. I'm just the only one HERE. E15.gif

And I think I heard one of his songs. Wasn't it on Club mix?

Songs from dj nagureo on DDR include:
5.1.1
Gambol
20, November
Patsenner
Deep In You
Peace Out

Then there's the Tiger Yamato stuff - Luv To Me, R3, Hold On Me, etc.

And you've drilled it into everyone's brains. We know, we know, WE KNOW. You don't have to tell everyone about it 500 times. We know it annoys you.

I'll also remind you that this is a bemani forum, not a DJ gathering. If the person is referred to as DJ Nagureo, that's how we refer to them. Ditto for Taka and the rest. We don't need your constant picking at the term DJ. Let it go, you're just making people dislike you.

In any case, on topic...

I rather like DJ Nagureo's work. There's honestly a very few people's work in all of bemani that I enjoy and he would have to be on that list.

5.1.1 is good. Kind of a song to relax to.

But if you asked me, I like Nagureo's songs under Tiger Yamato a LOT more.

Replace that with Akira Yamaoka and you've got me right there. riiight.gif

I like Slake's work alot.

I like Game, Sparker, Denim, Cloudy Music, Music to your head, Gambol, 22DUNK (the another reeks though, but fun), I'm For Real, The Acid Bomb Remix, Cycle, Watering, What's Next?, Laughin',

Probably the only Slake song I totally detest is Higher.

But this IS about nagureo, and I think the guy rocks.

Lets hear some props for Secret Tale plz E1.gif

Hey I _LIKE_ I'm For Real by Slake. It's the best Slake track but that's pretty much it for me.

I really don't like alot of DJ nagureo's stuff. I mean, yeah, I do like the 20, November IIDX version though. But on average, I don't like his style. 5.1.1. Is soooo plain. It's a very empty sounding song. I'm sure he, DJ Nagureo, wanted it to be like that, but it's just not my taste. And most DDR players crave speed songs which 5.1.1 is not. So yes, a lot of 'DDR Max USA newbies' would hate that song.

Now Shoichiro Hirata... me love.gif .

I beg to differ as far as The Asletics are concerned. All their 5 key (and 7 key) stuff is awesome. Freakout all the way!
