I still haven't played EX, but will do so tomorrow! happy.gif

Someone told me the "Heavy" difficulty is hidden... is it like MAX2's ONI?

Or do I need some sort of code?

please tell me this is a really sad attempt at humor. The last time heavy was "hidden" was 3rd mix. Just press down down or when you enter the mod menu you can change it.

Instead of just ridiculing him to death, let's be constructive, yes?

To answer your original question, the Heavy difficulty is still accessed the same way as Max and Max 2: either in the beginning or by upgrading your difficulty with a DD on the game pad during song selection, or holding the start button and select "heavy" in the options menu.

What he is *probably* asking is how to access the ONI difficulty for songs in DDR Extreme (which is "hidden"). Long answer short, you simply hit DD on the game pad and increase your difficulty from heavy to oni if such difficulty exists for the song (like *sigh* Butterfly). You can also select the same difficulty with the options menu, and selecting "oni" difficulty.

Interestingly, if you select oni difficulty on a song that contains light/standard/heavy/oni difficulties, you can scroll around and any song that only has L/S/H will revert back to heavy and L/S/H/O songs will automatically bounce back to oni difficulty. You'll automatically get the oni difficulty for Max2 Challenge Mode only remixes, but you will get snap back to the difficulty selected before it if you scroll away from a O only song.
