Hippie,
Sorry to take long for the reply. No, I don't play Planetside. My name Megido comes from the Phanstasy Star RPG Series (parts 2-4) which is the most powerful spell / technique in the game.
Anyone heard anything on the Dave and Busters recall of Premiere 3? Just wondering if they ever plan to find some way of editing the songs, or getting Andamiro to release an updated version without the bad language rap lyrics. |

I am fairly new to PIU (although I've been DDRing for over a year) and I like it a lot, but I've found that unlike DDR there aren't many options available for a home setup. Because there isn't even an arcade in my town, not to mention an arcade with dancing games, a home version is a must. Now, I know that SM has support for PIU, but I haven't been able to find any SM PIU files available for download. If someone has a nice collection, or even just like 1 mix worth to start on, I'd be very very very appreciative if you could message me on aim (funky1dave889) and perhaps send some over.
Also, I'd like to build a metal PIU pad because my bad experiences with dinky flat DDR pads makes me reluctant to buy the flat PIU pads which are, as far as I can tell, the only available. The thing is, I haven't found any tutorials in english, and I dont speak korean, spanish, or portugese. I've considered modifying one of the DDR pad creation tutorials, but I dont know if I can trust myself to get it right . If anyone knows of a tutorial or has made a pad before, I'd love to know where/how.
Thanks |

Nope, PREX Chicken Wing are crazy steps, not the XX steps that Extra has, even though it's an extra song, they gave it different steps for some reason, the XX steps are far harder. |

I've only played PIU on the PC so far, but it's like DDR on crack, the steps are so much harder. I can pass almost any song on Stepmania(DDR), but on KIU I can only pass a couple songs on Crazy mode. I'm going to go out and get a soft pad for PC soon. I want to play this game because it's so much more of a challenge. I still like DDR alot, but I wanna try something different and challenging. |

Yes, Crazy mode is very appropriately named. On DDR, I think there are maybe 4 songs that I can't do on Heavy. On Pump it Up, I can probably do 25% of the songs on Crazy, and that's a liberal guess.

Oops, I should have stated that I've only played Beat of War about 3 times since I don't have a Premiere 3 near me anymore. Once I get it again, I'm sure I'll be much better.
The difference between Naissance Hard and Crazy is just a few extra double steps and 1/16th steps. It's somewhat easy for its level. |

I played pump it up today! I went to an arcade and they had PIU so I threw a coin in and gave it a try. I like beethoven virus so I tried that in hard, since I knew easy would be boring. I failed it of course (first time playing) but I did most of the song except one part I bombed. I went into easy after that and A'd beethoven virus after a few tries and went on to barely pass mr. larpus. It's funny that I am bored playing a song yet I fail it because I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing . I didn't even take a look at crazy mode but I did out of stupidity try beethoven virus full double (I just HAD to try it after seeing a sweet vid of someone playing it). I can read all of arrows NP but since I am such a noob I end up hitting the wrong arrow on the pad . Pump is a cool game, too bad I probably won't get another chance to play it for a long time. |

Hey, how do you do the quick 16th triplets in Trash Man XX during the guitar solo? The ones that go 1-5-9, 9-5-1, 3-5-7, 7-5-3, etc. I've tried to bring my leg back the way I'd normally do it but it's just too fast, and sliding doesnt' seem to be doing the trick either. The rest of the song is easy, it's just that one part... |

At times like that, I cheat. I hit 2, skip 1, hit 2, skip 1, etc. For the example you mentioned, I would hit 1-5 skip, 9-5 skip, 3-5 skip because that would only have you miss 4 steps, whereas trying to hit them all would make you lose footing and stamina and you'd probably end up missing a lot more than 4 out of the 12. I use this for really big clusters of 16th like BVirus and Slam Crazy. (Not that I can PASS Slam Crazy, but I'm getting close to a D!) |
