Pah. That's what happens when you're doing 3 things at the same time.

3rd Styles pop up on Ebay a lot. 4ths don't come so often, but you can find them there every once in a while, as well. |

Excellent pictures Ryan. I have a couple questions:
In hindsight, do you think was necessary to file down the keys even after performing the 'rubber corner' mod and the 'wafer' mod?
What type of glue did you use?
Did you take the original rubber 'sound deadeners' out of your controller? I took mine out a couple weeks ago, and after awhile I felt that the keys maybe responded better with them in. What are your thoughts?
At any rate, I appreciate your photos, and I can't wait to start similar mods on my controllers tonight. The end of my sticky keys is in sight! _________________

Man, with Ryan2DX with the USA... We may have a chance. I know that my A's and B's on 7key expert courses won't help us out at all. Hahaha... not to mention the fact that I will probably never see a 9th style machine. Anyway, I haven't seen Lisu or AGOP on any recent IR's for IIDX... maybe I'm not looking right or something.
Also, how long have you been playing Ryan? Just to determine if seppuku would be a good thing to think about... _________________

I think that filing still might help even after you put the rubber under the keys. For glue, the Dr. Scholls I used had an adhesive part on the bottom of them, so I just cut the square out of that part.. but super glue should work fine. I left the little black sliver things inside the keys, I see no reason to take them out. |

so is the filing just for loosening up the motion of the keys / preventing sticking? i guess it makes the keys that bit smoother to press too, but im not too bothered with their shape currently anyway, so meh.
i doubt any other brits are gonna read this, but a 5p piece seems to work in place of a dime for the sizing of the inbetweener between the plunger and the key :> |

So.......how close is she to a AAA? |
You only scored around 175,000... that's barely an AA.
Just for a good thing to look out for... a AAA is usually around 190,000 points. Sometimes you can get AAA's with less, but only if you have tons of "poors" instead of goods... and sometimes even with a full combo 190,000 isn't enough for a AAA. It's all about expoints.
As Macheezmo quoted earlier, it takes "8/9" of the total amount of expoints you can get (total notes in the song times two). An AA is "7/9" the total points you can get in the song. So... That having been said...
The total expoints in North are 932. You made 736. You need 829 for a AAA, and 725 for an AA. Does that clear grading up a bit? _________________

Well i'm playing a couple more rounds of 8th style tomorrow with it being the last day its at my arcade (9th style upgrade) , but I have to ask: What is the easist flashing 7 on 8th style IYO? I can so far pass DXY! and im getting close to Colors Y & Co. eurobeat (68%) =/. But please with 1 or 2 for me :]
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, i'm excited to death for 9th style; I just fear losing my classic songs |

I thought it was 180,000 for a AAA, thats why I though I was at least close. _________________

If you guys didn't already know:
To calculate a AAA - (Number of notes) x (2) x (.889) = Expert Score needed for a AAA. If there's a remainder, most likely it rounds up.

Hey Sa.m is right here. When you need those As, and crazy sudden/hi3/random sh1t, but forget about AAAs those too hard. |
