im using mozilla firebird and recently ive been getting that message at every page of the forums... is there something wrong with the ad server? it keeps popping up a dialog box and i want to know if theres any way to disable it

I haven't been seeing a problem. You may want to take it up with the ad provider though. Could you provide a screen shot though?

I think for some users the ad service server is timing out. The forum pages use inline frames to display the ads, and when they time out they don't show a red X or broken picture link, but rather a dialog box that states that "the operation timed out while waiting for <server name>".
