My only guess is that they've never played it. What do you guys think?

Well DDR isn't going to be attractive to some people for various reasons. Some people dont like things involving physical activity or are not musically inclined, some people might not think that the game correctly captures musical intuition or they might have had a bad experience trying it the first time. A good chunk of people in the world just think Arcade games suck, period.

Another thing. You go into an arcade, you see three games.

On one, two kids are standing, glued to the screen, mashing on a joystick and 4 colourful buttons.

On the next, there's a kid in a race simulator spinning the wheel to cut off the car next to him.

On the thrid, you see two guys jumping up and down like crazies with music blasting away. You look at the screen, and all you see is fast moving arrows.

My point. Most people think DDR is very strange the first time they see it, and that often turns people off. And if they think its weird and just turn away, they never play it, and never see how fun it really is. Same thing goes for anime, too. Lots of people are devout anime fans, sacraficing their small allowances towards that cell-shaded sugar. But other people just look at it saying, "ah its the crazy Japanese 'toons," and pass it up like it were a straight-to-video Disney movie X-(

The first time I saw DDR I thought "wtf?" and went over to the TC machine.

Some people just don't get it. It confused the hell out of me.

What's TC?

Personally, I hardly ever go to arcades. I actually first heard about DDR through the Internet.

Unfortunately, though, even though I always wanted to try it out since when I first heard about it, it wasn't until about 3 years later I actually got a chance to play it =-( Stupid me

I believe there's already a post like this in chit-chat.... it has an inappropriate link on it >.<
Threat authors should have the ability to move their threads around if they do post in the wrong place. It'd save the admins a lot of time.

To be honest with you guys, I didn't want to try it. I'd never even seen it. The only reason I tryed it was because my friend bribed me into it with a "Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer" Yu-Gi-Oh! card. And don't bug me about it. When you live in the middle of nowhere, there's only DDR Max for my PS2 and Yu-Gi-Oh.

This is a pretty stupid question ( no offence ) but its like saying why don't some people like Pizza or Burgers or The simpsons... if everyone liked it I can guarantee most of the people on this site wouldn't like it.
