need help fixing red octane metal dance pad

it seems that my down arrow doesnt regester anymore... i've already opened it up but don't know what to look for... how do i do this?

take the arrow off and look at the copper bottom. if the copper foil on the back of the arrow is torn or ripped, go to your local home depot and buy sheet metal and cut it out to the size of the copper and duct tape it on. there already a site link for this in the ro afterburners pad forum on the first page of forums. it has more details.link: www.rufus3.com/ddr/metalpadmod.html 24 page half way down. boom.gif

Another good item instead of sheet metal (if you dont want to use it for some reason) is copper sheeting tape. I managed to pick some up and fashion it onto my pad bottoms of my TX-1000. It has an adhesive backside and is thick enough not to tear and rip, and not obstrusive in any way.

And the last time I checked, the original contact foil isnt copper. I always thought it was something crappy like aluminum.
