No joke.... extacy is ridiculous with that modifier on... I don't know how the crap to read it, because it's going fast enough so that if looks like it would be hit right when it STOPS MOVING... I guess you just have to play the song normally a billion times until you get used to it... because I seriously doubt there is any way to play it from sight. _________________

No, it's pretty simplistic. Obviously, every quarter and 8th note should be easy to hit, since you just follow the beat by the arrows flashing to the beat. The weird gallop 8th note pattern follows the music, so you should be able to do that without too much trouble as long as you follow the music. The only part that would be challenging would the part with freeze notes and 8th and offbeat 16th notes while holding the freeze...but just give that look once in normal play and you should get it down. |

When you pass this, you can talk. Thank you.
Ecstacy has Brake. This song is by far the hardest of the first four songs. It took me fricken forever to learn it. I can do it everytime now, but I wouldn't dare go around calling it simplistic. And it is possible to play it without having the song memorized. The trick is learning the modifier.
And this is turning into a gameplay discussion. |

Dang, VGS, you got to it before me! The modifier on Ecstasy doesn't really have an official name, but it is commonly called Brake. On top of that, it isn't a slowed speed; it's the exact opposite of Boost. If it were a slowed speed, you'd end up with something like Orion.78 (AM Euro). It's different because it slows near the arrows. I thought this Asian guy that tried it last night at the arcade was invincible, but he failed it, so apparently it is quite the hard song. I mean, this guy beat Bag and some other ten-footer, one right after the other, on 3x Speed Dark Boost, so go figure. _________________

Brake is the official Konami released name for the modifier. As is Fuwa Fuwa for the AM-3P remix. _________________
