Soft pad + USB connector + Stepmania = ??

I already have all of the stuff. I installed the software for the connector and I have 2 soft pads. Everything is plugged in. How do I make it so I can play Stepmania with my pads? When I try to configure the keys for Stepmania, it only allows one of the keys (left, right, enter, etc..) to be assigned to the whole pad, which gets the label "Joy 1 1". What Do I do? 2. did you try the converter in windows controller setting ?

Also, make sure you have "Ignore Axis" turned on in stepmania, that'll usually let you map the arrows to buttons rather than an axis.
