From what I can tell it pretty much affects all the muscles in the legs and some in the torso.

huh?

Cardiovascular workout?

Extra stress put on the legs and ankles/knees
Any injuries sustained while playing (sprains, breaks ...)

Thx for the help, here is my first draft if you're interested:
Description:
Dance Dance Revolution is an imported video game from Japan. The game consists of hitting arrows as they scroll up a screen. This doesn’t seem as it would require much effort, but it is really much harder then it sounds. The arrows have to be hit at the correct time and based on how close to that correct time you are you get a rating of perfect, great, good, almost, or boo. If you get four and more perfects/greats you get a combo and if you get to many almosts/boos you fail the song. As this is happening music plays in the back round, in which there is great variety. Songs range in style, length, speed, and most importantly difficulty. The game is played on a pad that is about three by three feet in size. There are 6 arrows that correspond to the arrows on the screen, which are up, right, left, down and if playing six panel (a different mode) there are also diagonal up right and diagonal up left. There are also three difficulty levels, basic, trick, and maniac. As the levels increase the number of arrows and difficulty to hit them increases. For example, in trick 8th notes are used, and in maniac 16th notes are used. The game fallows music mechanics, so there are measures and beats. In songs there can be anywhere from 0 to 32 arrows in a measure and usually 150 to 300 beats per minute. The game even has a workout mode that you can set in your weight, the date, and how long you want to play. Instead of showing a score at the bottom of the screen it shows calories burned. So, basically when playing the game, you move around hitting the arrows at the correct time, as if you’re dancing.
Muscles Affected and How:
The muscles affected are mainly in the lower body, primarily the calves, quadriceps, gluteus maximus, and abdominal muscles. What it does to them is make then stronger and increases their endurance. The calves, quadriceps, and gluteus are worked in moving around the pad, while the abdominal muscles are worked in stabilizing the body.
Cost:
Dance Dance Revolution is a fairly inexpensive activity. The cost of the game is around $20 and the pads are also $20. It is also necessary to buy a Playstation Gaming System and those cost $50 for a new one, $30 for a used. So, total the price is between about $70 and $90.
Availability:
Dance Dance Revolution is very available because everything you need can be purchased at any store that sells video games, such as Walmart, Target, or the numerous gaming stores at malls.
Health Benefits:
The health benefits of Dance Dance Revolution are numerous. First and foremost, it is an excellent cardiovascular workout because it involves simple movements. Within minutes of playing your heart is pumping, especially on higher difficulty levels. Second, it increases metabolism as all workouts do. With an increased metabolism it is easy to lose weight, which has many benefits on its own like decreased risk of certain diseases. Third, it burns a lot of calories for something that is so simple. For example, on Drop the Bomb on manic it is only 1 minute and 30 seconds long and playing it I burned 22 calories. It wasn’t even all that hard, much easier then jogging or other exercises. Fourth, it builds muscle endurance. When I first started playing Dance Dance Revolution I was tired after only thirty minutes to half hour of really playing, but now I can play for hours. I have also seen improvement in my running ability, I can run longer then I could before I started playing.
Adverse Consequences:
Although Dance Dance Revolution is a great work out activity it does have some drawbacks. First, there could be joint pain from the constant stepping on the buttons, especially on higher difficulties. The joint pain is similar to that from jogging. Second, it is possible to injure yourself playing, like spraining an ankle or pulling a muscle.

The first draft looks ok .. however you don't mention once that you play it by stepping on the buttons :O

Try this replacement : "The game consists of hitting arrows on a dance pad with your feet. The arrows will scroll up the screen and you hit the corresponding dance pad arrow when they reach the top."

Also I think it would help alot to have a page with a picture of a home DDR pad, a screenshot of the game, and maybe a picture of someone playing it.

You may also want to mention that it's also an arcade game.

Oh, and it also increases your stamina and reflexes.
