What should be the name of the new DDR mix

If there will be (and I think there will be) another DDR mix, what should it be named? I don't know what you think but I thought DDR Extreme was a lame name. Going back to Maxes might be good, but i think the best name would just be like the old machines with just a mix number. It should be called Dance Dance Revolution 9th Mix.

This is the problem. If Konami is looking to put out another Mix, they kind of screwed themselves over by calling this one Extreme. They would have to find a word that is beyond extreme to make it seem like it was a better mix. I mean they could always cheap out and call it "Dance Dance Revolution Extreme....TWO!" Anyways, I think if they do anything, they might consider a greatest hits mix or something.

If Konami comes out with a new DDR arcade mix, it will be built on brand new hardware. It's very probable that they will come up with an entirely new name (like they did with IIDX), and start numbering over again from 1st mix.

maybe if they do use new hardware like in IIDX, instead of going back to 1st mix, they should start at like 1st style or Ver 2.1.

By "hardware" in Konami's comments ("last mix for the current hardware"). I think that they meant the CD-Drive.... i mean think about it.... the current mix has 248 songs stuffed one ONE CD! I think that they meant that you will have to replace the drive (possibly new computer) to a DVD-Drive in order to fit all the songs into the next mix.

Anyways, I think that either EX2 or DDR 9th would be good, but i certainly wouldnt like Max4, it wouldn't fit.

Actually, by new hardware they probably mean something slightly newer than the PSone based board that's in there now. Yes, I'm sure it'll have a DVD drive, but I really doubt that'll be the only thing. I just have a feeling that they'll take this opportunity to totally revamp everything. I mean, imagine a DDR machine with better engineered pads that are infinitely more responsive, a plasma screen, bigger speakers and full length videos for each song (a la IIDX). And that's just a handful of things I can think of off the top of my head.

DDR Ex2 sounds good to me also, and full length movies would also be sweet to look at, and also bigger screens would be good to play on.

I came up with a pretty cool idea the other night...

What about DDR Endurance Mix, or something like that. I suppose the name needs work, but I think it'd be cool to bring back the extended songs from 5th. It would be a whole mix of 3-4 minute songs. This might actaully pose a new challenge to the players who can pass every 10 footer. Imagine a 10 footer that's 4 minutes long.
