Perhaps. Max 2 lets you have a stage break, too, but I'm not sure if it's any longer than 60 seconds. But I'm sure anybody crazy enough to play DDR for numerous hours continuously would have no trouble evacuating into various containers during easy songs.

hehe... 100 hours? non stop? i would definitely try it out if it were sponsored... maybe i can take that idea up with my local arcade... worth a shot, right? do that 15 minute break every four hours... enough time to grab something to eat/drink and go to the bathroom. i've mastered the concept of eating/drinking while playing... strong stomach i guess... i've lasted 8 hours still going a couple times... c'mon guys, try to keep an open mind here! 100 hours may be too much, but if it were free would you still try it? |

Actually would be kind of funny if you could find a 24 hour arcade and you could have ppl keep trading off for a few days and see how long you could get it to last.... :-) |

First of all... If no DDR machine will allow more than 5 songs one 1 credit... We'll have to see if going with PS1/PS2 or PC (Note: if a simulator is used... the step files will have to be made EXACTLY AS SHOWN with the step files here & get some sort of certification for them or it's a no-go) with a metal dance pad to ensure perpheral endurance.
AGAIN: ACTUAL DDR MACHINE IS PREFERRED OVER ANY HOME VERSION THAT CAN SUPPORT ENDLESS MODE OR ENDLESS-LIKE MODE WITHOUT ADDING CREDITS!
As for the Ironman competition...
1) Twin Galaxies (World Authority on all Video Game & Pinball records) will be sponsoring the event.
2) All participants must have a physical prior to competition... To ensure your health & any conditions that could cause problems.
3) Current stipulations may suggest that there'll be a 12-hour / day limit... This is yet to be confirmed or denied... My thought: Don't hold your breath on this, but you will most likley be given some "break time" for meals & restroom breaks...
4) I'll the information about when Twin Galaxies finalizes the place & time.
Edit: Just for your information... The 1st Iron Man champion, Jim Vollandt, only lasted 67.5 hours playing Joust _________________

I think it would be interesting to see just how long someone could last on DDR. I know I would, if it was on light and standard mode. I played on heavy mode for about 2 hours straight recently and that wasn't too bad. Of course, there was a few minutes of a break when I'm putting my money into the machine but other than that it was back to back games.
Playing games in a marathon fashion is crazy. It causes blisters, fatuge, and cramps. Does that tell you what kind of person I am? Wounds heal, chicks dig scars, but glory is forever.
Sometimes when your in the heat of battle you do forget things. After a certain point you do forget about the pain, about the thrist, and about the hunger. You do have to keep hydrated though but, you can survive about 72 hours without eating (some people that I know could go for longer lol).
Just remember, the first person that does it will probably end up in the Guiness book of World Records. I would like to be that crazy first guy to try it. Anyways, if it does happen I would at least like to know about it. |

To take Golky_poplerk's consern... I quote my previous post, with the IMPORTANT PART highlighted.

As for JamK...
It would be a Guiness & a Twin Galaxies World Record should someone actually pulled it off... However, there will probaby be tournament rules in place so you can eat, sleep & use the restroom as needed as well as some paramedics on hand. _________________
