Which Zero One? |
ZERO-ONE by Mr.T from IIDX 7th style .. of course, it would have the steps I made for it Not that I think it'll happen We'll probabally get CRASH! and Paranoia Eternal instead .. oh well |

I'm complaining because the original poster put me in with some half rate (mostly keyboard) dwi makers, which offended me. My charts are aimed at expert players who want something harder than the official charts, or doubles players looking for quality doubles charts (or just doubles charts period!). Thin this down to expert doubles players who have two good PC pads and visit bemanisims and the numbers dwindle down to 20-30 players at most. It's not surprising, then, that most people will ignore my DWIs in favor of keyboard mashing, gimmicky remixes, or less technically challenging charts.. but I refuse to be shoveled into that category in silence by a 'basic member'. About your DWI: I made a legitimate criticism of the one DWI you posted about, and I've stated plenty of evidence to back up my view. You're defending your step chart because you've come up with some creative technical sequences, even though they don't fit in the song you've put them to. And like I said unless you get into doubles you really can't make any 'unique' technical sequences.. it's all been done before officially.

All I'm saying is, the company you're being jumbled in with shouldn't matter. I do get what you mean, though. I prefer DWIs that are pad-playable, even though I don't use a pad to play dwi. And I frown on most overly-difficult files because they aren't fun to me. But I dunno, any compliment is worth taking I think. And, like I said, you make good stuff, you're obviously proud of it, so don't sweat it...who cares who else is on someone's list, as long as you're there too, eh?
And I really don't stress the issue of my dwi that much. I only disagree, because I don't make a chart that "doesn't fit". Your opinion is that the steps don't fit. And you are entitled to that. At least you do realize I was creative, and FYI, although I may be wrong, a pattern, coded like"824284824284824" does not exist in singles in such a fashion that you can fluidly do it without double-stepping. Essentially, it's drop out's l,d,l,r,d,r,l,d,l,r....pattern rotated to the right. It was also experimental...totally for the purpose of making something completely twisty/turn like without being another EE. I'm proud of it, and furthermore, most people I know that have it like it for pad play, so I'm satisfied.
Anyway, like I said, who cares who else is on a list of "greats" with you...be happy to be on the list, cause obviously they recognized something. _________________

People, I think you are getting a bit offtopic...
I don't have time to download *everything* from *everyone*, so I'm VERY picky with the stuff I like.
-Rage With Intensity (I had an orgasm when I played his Dancemania speed stuff)
-shortysmnm...whatever (his TM3 entry rocked)
-DWI Insanity (namely, Fooby. I like his recent BoA work, and his old stuff is very cool)
-udderdude (he got some nice songs, but Kind Lady Trance mix had some of the most generic patterns I've ever seen. Anyways, everybody makes a bad file once in a while )
-BMR (Tomorrow Perfume... )
-Candy Boy (Cool stuff there...Drivin' and Upside Down euro mix are wonderful)
Theres more people that I'd like to put here but I'm very sleepy right now. Buh-bye. |

agreed. moving right along.
I dunno, there's a lot of "unknowns" that I like too. When I first got dwi, my friend gave me a disc with some originals already on it. There was a hellscaper dwi there that was really good. Don't really know who made it, but I liked it a lot, and I still play it from time to time. I guess I can't really have a favorite maker, just favorite files. _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Fo0by, IMO, is the best DWI maker out there at the moment, in terms of technical accuracy and flair. The way he uses slowdowns and speedups, especially gradual ones (Think M Neurotic Eye Mix) still blows my mind sometimes. Combine that with some truly inspired and fun steps for pad, as well as some great keyboard pieces, puts him above the rest for me.
Still, I'm sure the Tournamix will bring out some new names _________________

BeMani Ruler is probably the most consistent, with all those great Ayumi Hamasaki and Ayla dwi's.
Overall, I'd say Geisha Dreams is the best dwi out thar, which would make it's creator the best, in a way. Don't know his name, tho. You can find the dwi on Bemanix. _________________

Umm... start with your right foot on that pattern listed and it's easy.
From Drop-Out, start on left foot. You need to twist your body a little to the side, but very simple LRLR pattern.
On topic: I also love DWInsanity step-charts. And the bunch of people (including Mantis and Udderdude) who uploaded to DDRsimfiles while it was still around.
Is there any DWInsanity simpack around? Can't find'em anymore and due to corruption I've only got half of them. D: _________________
