I play with Left Index on L1, Right Index on R1, Right Middle on R2, and Right Thumb on X.

In other news, I finally beat Brutal yesterday. But, Shades of Blue on Insane has gotten me. Need more practice.

I like the all the Stage 4 songs, including I Am Hated. However, I like Push the best. But, for me.........Komputer Kontroller, Komputer Kon (Slapped by someone). Ow!

stage four OWNED me on insane for a long long long time.

i hated slipknot, i couldn't beat half the songs [they were bad]....until one day it all just clicked. then stage five owned me for a while.

but four took me longer to complete than five did. i guess it had more 'learning hurdles'.

Stage 4 was the only thing between me and the seekret song.

I didnt hate any of the songs in Stage 4, but they didn't impress me as much as the songs on the other stages...good thing it had Push to make it worthwhile.

Besides DDR, Amplitude is my favorite music-based game. After a week of trying, I finally beat Komputer Kontroller last week, thanks to the freestyle and autoblaster powerups. I thought Spaztik was easier than Komputer Kontroller and it only took me four tries to beat. Besides those two, I Am Hated gave me a lot of trouble, especially the fast guitar part.

Has anybody else been able to get 4 bars on their score rating? In case you didn't know, 3 bars isn't the highest rating as it appears to be.

Yeah. On easier levels, I got multiple songs with 4 bars. On Insane, my 1st 4 bar victory was on Weezer's Dope Nose. My 2nd was on Super Sprode. I think I've gotten 4 bars on all the Stage 2 songs.

What's everyone's best Amplitude/Frequency accomplishment? So far, mine is a score of 5023 and 4 bar score rating on Papa Roach - M-80 on Insane. It was kinda funny too, because I didn't even notice how well I was doing until I looked up at the score after finishing the song.

I'm on the last level of insane.. and... omg. Some of the drum tracks are simply not beatable. I've gone way beyond any level of skill I thought I had, and it's still too much. I use the square, R1, R2. Works pretty good for me.... I was thinking of switching to L1,R1,R2.... if anyone thinks it would help? Any tips would be appreciated!

As far as my best accomplishment... my only 4 bar is on Garbage - Brutal. I got 2598.... Keeping a combo in insane is proving... quite... difficult. Also, I beat I Am Hated on my 2nd try... I thought that was damn good.

That reminds me, I never beat the last 3 songs (counting the 2 hidden songs) on FreQuency... oh, and never unlocked the Ethan Eves song, because I can't get a good score on any of the songs in that level.

And I can't beat FreQout, or whatever it is... altho I havent tried to go back to it after amplitude playing... i think ill try that now...

Then Super Science Genius Girl, but I never got good enough to beat stage four to get level 5

i've beaten and unlocked everything on every level of amp but i still can't do it all on frequency....

i think freq is a LOT harder....and i'm so used to how the pods work on amp right now, that my timing is off on freq.

I played Amp at e3 and me no likey.

I could not get used to the new... 'interface' having every track on one plane just does not work for me because it's hard to read the notes on the leftmost and rightmost sides were as in Freq, the track moved right in the middle. That way, your view was always the same and you didn't have to adjust to the polygons being skewed.

I will wait on the price to drop before I actually buy it.

just rented amplitude about 11:30 or something

anyway i beat it on normal mode and im working on brutal.

the difficulty after brutal is too hard i cant beat the boss song.

mostly cause i dont use the L1 R1 buttons i use the triangle suqare and x buttons.

ok... well... beat insane! wow. that certainly was... insane. only need to unlock gameboyz (hate it) and komputer kontroller. I unlocked the production club with only a 647 on Herbie. THat sonofabitch song... the drum track kills combos like no other. KInd of like the blink song!

I got much farther on FreQout (about 80%), so amplitude has definitely increased my skills. just not enough. PostBjork, how was ethan eves your FIRST unlock? I can't get anything higher than about 800-900 on anything but the dub pistols song. i almost full comboed lo-fi and only got 879. i hate that stage, dammit.

JustJeff, i had the same problem you did originally, getting around the flat plane track was tough. but all it does is force you to think differently about your combo. i belive on each song their is a way to start and keep your combo throughout. because if you complete every track from begginning to end with no mistakes, you have either 1 or 2 bars usually to make it back to the other side and start over. it takes some getting used to, but its not better or worse. just different.
