Does any body have a chart that outlines what the timing windows in different versions of the game (both arcade and home)? I would like exact numbers, not just opinions, please. I am very anal and only want to know out of curiosty.
Any answers would be appreciated. _________________

perfect windows on newer home versions (maxusa and max2jp) are much much bigger, i assume to compinsate for poor soft pads. but i cant compare older versions because i dont remember exact arcade gameplay from older mixes, other than 5th mix being a little tight (but the home ver is tight as well) _________________

For 1st-4th, it's 1/8 of a beat. Same for home versions.
For 5th-Extreme, it's measured in milliseconds, and nobody seems to know the exact amount. Home versions are more lenient. _________________

Does Konamix have the same timing as home 4th? Because I consistently get low greats on every song it seems. It seems less strict than MAX USA. Maybe that is just me.
5th does seem a bit tight, and the home version is also similarly tight. _________________

Yeah.
Perfect window = 1/32 of a measure
1 beat = 1/4 measure
Convert to beats:
(1/32)/(1/4) = Perfect window
Dividing is multypling by the reciprocal, so you have:
(1/32)*4
4/32
1/8 beat = Perfect window
In other words:
1/32 measure = 1/8 beat = Perfect timing window
If a=b=c, then a=c, right? Right. _________________
