Which is better for the Konami Deluxe Pad?

Hey, I recently obtained a somewhat used Konami Deluxe pad, it is still in very good condition and still really responsive, but I was wondering, would I be better off using the Actual Konami Deluxe Pad's Foam inserts, or the Foam Inserts from my Red Octane Ignition 2.0, because the Red Octane is starting to go.... Anyway any help would be appreciated, oh and should I bother with pad covers?
