Couldn't get mail server response codes

The above message appeared on two occasions today after I clicked on "submit" (to post).

My reply didn't get submited on the second time (not sure about the first time). Was this problem here before ?

It's been plaguing me today, too. See the quadruple post I made in the DDR Simulator forum. I've gotten it before, but never as many times as I've gotten it today. It's happened at least 4 times.

I just ignore it if it happens. I got it when trying to send a PM to a mod, the stuff got sent alright, seeing as said mod got the same PM 4 times from me.

My best guess as to the problem, after some browsing on phpbb.com, is that it happens when someone has "Mail me when this thread is replied to" checked, and the mail server takes a bit too long.

It's not an actual error with your post or anything. Maybe we should silence that, since no one ever actually cares about seeing that error...

Yeah it happens now and then.. I pm'ed someone about it ages ago... think it was "JA" not sure..... but the post is there even though the error message comes up... is you push submit again you get a double post.

The reason I posted here is that the second time round, it didn't post my message.
Its hard to know at that stage, short of opening a new browser window and navigate to the forum again, whether it is posted or not.
(It appears that sometime it does, but not always - I am not sure under what conditions one would happen and not the other).

I care about it...for a while my post name doesnt show up and I hope its not the "infamous post bug" that everyone is talking about and stuff. Though sometimes my post shows up and sometimes it just takes forever and a half, oh well...one day I suppose it'll go away. I dunno anything about this stuff...

), however the post shows up, plus one extra post for each refresh (so people, please don´t use refresh when this happens to you).

I´d like to point that when it happens (at least to me) a topic gets the post-bug

It seems to be happening more frequently.

I couldn't send out forums when I reply posts. It happen 3 or 4 times when I reply post. It makes me mad and fusterated.

Can somebody fix this type of error? I can't stand waiting for a long time. I want it to resolve this error.
