I heard that this was possible. That somebody released some type of plugin for DWI and SM to do so. Never heard anything more about it though. _________________

It's being created at the moment, The creator of SM is making charaters possible by using Milkshape 3D so you can use almost any character to use. |

Own this section, probably.

I guess by locking 5 of their topics that needed to be locked anyways. _________________

AWESOME I was quite disappointed when i found out there were no dancing characters in stepmania I liked the dancing characters because I used to play Bust-A-Groove, and those dancing chars were awesome!

There is a screenshot from Chris Danford with the characters. Characters will be in SM soon enough, we just have to be patient in the meantime. _________________

I wonder how smooth the arrows would run with that. Probably has the same needs as the movie files.
And I know my SM is choppy with the movies. _________________

Movies are a special case: they require a lot of CPU to decode, and updating a texture often. Dancers should be easier to optimize, at least, since they're just models. |

Well, if they're anything like the orignal psx characters, they won't have alot of polygons so the frame rate will still be high. |
