On ddr extreme, there is a shark lunging at your head when you get in danger....... Has this always been here??? I have played DDRExtreme a bazillion times and have never seen thing.
the shark is very disturbing and makes me fail!

Why, are you afraid of sharks?
As far as I know, the shark has always been there on DDR Extreme, not as cool as the swirly thing background in my opinion though. Just ignore the background and focus your attention on the arrows/step zone.

I have never gotten to see the danger screen, must try and get a lot of misses.

haha yeah sometimes I do find that very scary myself..especially on extra stage where your bar cant go up. You're stuck with seeing that stoopid shark for almost the rest of the song. After time though (I'm not really sure) that stoopid shark goes away for a bit. Until you get another Boo, Almost, Miss. Then he comes back for more torture. hehe

And no it hasnt been there ALWAYS I've only seen it on extreme thus far

Yes, the shark danger screen only appears on 8th mix.

Come to think of it, my home arcade at stars in vacaville does not have the shark danger screen. The nearby Tilt and scandia extremes DO have that danger screen however.

So you saying that not ALL extreme machines have the shark danger screen, either your not seeing it, or there is a option to turn off the shark on the screen.

yes, the shark has and always will be in extreme. In the service panel you can change the danger screen's options such as flash, no flash or just turn it off.

man, the shark danger screen is top tier!!! It's just soo great watching it especially when ppl are about to fail a song, just watching the shark go after you back and forth is awesome......heh, i like sharks!!!

the other cool screen after that was DDR 3rd w/ the skulls and the gate if you fail......old school!!!

I love it when someone fails for their first time on Extreme and the doors close and makes that loud noise, first they jump cause it scared them, then they get pissed because they failed.
