The only time I got something stolen from DDR was I left to buy a drink at CP and I forgot to ask someone to watch my bag... I came back and $5 worth of tokens were stolen *Shakes fist* frust.gif

You know the author of the thread is going to be crawling back to play DDR one of these days, I doubt they will not play DDR from 1 bad experience. You accept responsibility, move on, and learn from your mistakes.

yep, one time i was playing ddr and was getting sweaty and decided to take off my watch, i set it on the machine and left it there. there were these college guys that came in and were really freaked out cuz i passed max 300. then they tried playing but they stopped, and i got 2 free games!!! biggrin.gif. then i left, then like 2 minutes later, i just realized that i left my watch on the machine!!! we were at the gas station right next to the arcade and i ran back really fast, but only to find out my watch had got stolen. eerrrrrr..... frust.gif that made me pretty mad for just the night. it was a pretty expensive watch, a Nautica Watch. i assumed one of those college guys took it. the next day, it didnt concern me like at all. it teaches you not to leave things behind E15.gif. i still play ddr and i didnt let that event stop me from playing E1.gif.

Yeah, I am the author of this thread. I'm glad everyone seems to have a opinion on this thread, even if they are just bashing me on the internet, way to go bukco! Way to be a man. Yeah, probably was partily my fault for leaving my wallet there or dropping it, I'm not sure which, one of my friends called me and I had steped outside to talk to her, when I came back all my stuff seemed to be there, but I guess I didn't recognize it was gone til later.
Anyways, everyone, if I insulted you for saying that DDR ruined my life, sooooorrrrrrrrry, but take a chill pill, when you lose a wallet with all your stuff in it, you get pretty pissed. "But don't take your walet out you idiot" Yeah well that's just a force of habit, last year when I worked in a arcade i HAD to wear tight Khaki pants to work everyday, and everyday after work I would play DDR for 2 hour, in those pants, it was mighty tough to do with stuff in my pants. So I would take stuff outta my pants to make the load easier, I just got used to doing it, it was a year of conditioning of taking stuff outta my pccket, and trusting that no one would take it, because no had before. And I have played with my stuff in my pants before, even super baggy ones, and my stuff still fell out, or hit the privates, and it wasn't comfortable I must tell you. So yeah, that's all I got to say about that...
As for playing DDR again, I seriously don't think I will unless its at a house party. I've played fo ra year and a half, no one probably knows who I am, but oh well. I'm done, alot of the songs seem like the same to me, I can sight-read 7 foot songs no prob. But that's just ME, don;t take offense if I insulted you. Besides, I''m sick of going out and getting my clothes all hot and sweaty, then going out again. I don't know about the rest of you, but I only play DDR for under a hour, then I usually like to go outside the arcade and party or something, kidan hard to do that when your funky, and if your going to say go home and shower and change, please, I'm usually with my friends, and once we go out,we stay out, and the nearest DDR is 30 mintues away.
One more thing, I took of B-boying (breakdancing for those of you who don't understand what b-boying is) last Setember, and I must say it is much better. You don't have to worry about shelling out money like no tommorow, you actaully DANCE, and B-boying has a 25 year old history behind it, plus the b-boy events are even more crazy, hypier, and cheaper and more frequent than DDR events (and them b-girls are mighty fine I must say) . And I can't stress it enough, b-boying is much more difficult than DDR (can anyone hear do seven head spins or 1990's on that machine?), and your actaully dancing (despite what some of you thing, you are not improviing your dancing skills on that machine, except you freestylers, much love to you.)
But hey, I'm not dissing DDR, I loved it and still love, just not gonna play it again, and I still give my respect to those of you who do. But hey, that's jsut my opinion, You may see differently.

P.S. - I wrote this on the fly, and pretty fast, so if you see errors ignore them.

b-boying sounds like a gay fetish... and i hope you know ddr is definatley not about being/getting good at dancing retardo. its fun, and if it pisses you off and ruined your life and you have no time for it at all cause your partying, WTF are you spendin time posting stupid buttocks topics like this for?

What bothers me most isn't the fact that this guy was absent-minded and left his wallet on the machine, or the fact he blamed DDR for causing its theft, but the fact that is WAS stolen.

Leaving an opportunity for crime does not justify the criminal's act. "That's what you get for leaving it there" is not the proper answer. Losing a wallet's a big deal. I'm glad when I find a wallet because I know the owner will be pleased to get it back! Not everyone's a thief.

I think this little incident was the triggering event which made him realize what he's wanted to do for some time: Give up DDR and pursue breakdancing. Good luck to him.

Added Note: Thank you to Drenchfur for trying to make light of the situation

Oh c'mon, your wallet could have been stolen in any place in the arcade.

Next time don't leave your credit card near an Initial D machine, then play Initial D, step off only to realize your card was stolen, then go, "OMG INITIAL D PUT ME IN F'ING HUGE DEBT I'M NEVER PLAYING IT AGAIN!"

One day, I was playing DDR 5th at Atlantis, and when I was done, my parents and I thought my wallet was missing. We then had some employees search for it and mail us the wallet, but then we realized I left it in the car the whole time. But did I blame DDR? NO! I blamed it on myself for having the short-term memory of a 95-year-old, even though I'm only 14.

I lost my cell phone the same way (leaving it on the DDR machine by accident). Luckily it was on a prepaid system, so nobody could really use the phone much, but it was my own fault for leaving it there in the first place.

Now I rarely leave anything on the DDR machine while I play -- never know what can happen.

Though, if you had left your wallet on another arcade, you would have ended up hating that game and therefore, it would have nothing to do with DDR.

That is pretty scary. Why do they put your SSN on your license in California? I'm glad I don't live there, for many reasons. disturb.gif

They don't put your SSN on drivers licenses in CA. I think she was talking about him having his social security card in his wallet and thats how he somebody would get ahold of it.

Never Never leave your wallet outside your pocket. I was in the same sitution one time but lucky that I live in a nice town and in the arcade a nice person found my wallet when I lost it and that taught me a lesson to keep it on me at all times.

Don't bring your SS Card in your wallet, memorize it, that way the only way to get it out of you is through torture.
