Hmm... major congrats to ANYBODY who can "flail" bag 1x with a C 
Anyway... flailing or not, maxx is a tough song in any respect. I got a C on MaxX the first time I passed it... and it was a REALLY proud moment for me... so instead of saying D doesnt count and D is a sucky grade and you need stamina whatever... why cant you just say 'hey, good job!' because ffs, maxx is not a cakewalk to 'get something better than an E on'  |

I haven't passed MaxX Unlimited yet. I don't particularly care. I'm trying to full-combo it first, if that makes any sense. Same with MAX 300. I can get over 300 combo on MAX 300 from time to time. MaxX Unlimited is significantly tougher, but I'll usually get at least a 100 combo, and then do probably at least B quality work until my legs die.
bag, I failed on my first try, passed it with a B on my second try, and an A on my third try.
PARANOiA Survivor, I've gotten about 80 steps away from a full-combo, (i.e. combo until 80 steps from the end), and I can do that pretty reliably (maybe a good or so somewhere), but I still fail about 1/3 of the time.
What's going on? I'm actually doing the steps right. If you even come close to doing the steps correctly, the songs become a lot more difficult and tiring. That's what I'm complaining about.
...really, I'm just bitter. It pisses me off when people pass 10-footers with Cs and Ds, because they probably aren't that great of players, but they have more stamina than I do. I failed PARANOiA Survivor over and over, but the first time I passed it I got over 400 combo and a B.
So, no, I didn't A or AA them the first time I passed them, but I did a hell of a lot better than a C and a D. And I'm really goddamn bitter about it.
And that, my friends, is why I snap at most "I passed MAX 300 with a C!" threads.

When someone only likes 2 pass 1st time w/ A or B, it would take a much longer time to accomplish the goal, unless u play w/o stopping forever  .When someone passes a song with even a D, i guess the good part is being able to say, "I've passed the song before" that's the type of guy i am. I pass hard songs 1st time mostly w/ C, rarely D, otherwise i fail. but it doesnt take long 4 me 2 be able 2 pass it w/ A or B.

Here is my take on the situation.
PASSING any 10-footer is an accomplishment whatever the grade. I wouldn't neccassarily say passing all the onis on max2 minus the ones with 10s in them is a larger accomplishment than passing a few 10-footers. WHY? I can practice a really hard 9 footer and full comboe it. The same goes with passing a 10-footer. I had to practice LoM several time before i could pass it. The first time I passed it, I got a D... OMG. The second time, i got a C. I have been working on it more and now i have a B. Thing is, how much more practice does full comboing 8s and 9s take than passing hard 10s. The answer is NOT MUCH.
I hate when people get mad because someone is happy with themselves. That is the sign of a mis-directed emotion. It also means that person doesnt have much self confidence.
(note: Rancidfish is probably better at DDR than me, but this was just a little overkill in my view)
