WOOT.

Won a v2 from e-bay.

But I have to wait until Monday or Tuesday to get my bank account verrified from paypal.

I'm not gonna screw up like a few of you did. disturb.gif Once I get it in, I'm moding it immediately. PS2freak, thanks for the great resource, though reading that web page and squinting at the pictures made my head hurt. I think I am ready to mod it all myself.

I got a DJSP on the way too. I am turning into a real BEMANI FREAK E13.gif GF is next... drool.gif

What kind of acrylic should be used to mod the CG Ver.2?

Lexan material works great, and you can get it at Home Depot.

How thick should the accrilic u use to replace the arrows on the pad be?

I ordered a pad from that Yang guy on ebay before I read this thread. It says V2 in the title of the bid, but inside the description it days preassembled, and nothing about the V2.

Is it going to be a v1 thats moded to a seperate control box, and has all the features of the v2 except the 1in thick, and possible the 1 peice design? Or is it just going to be a V1 they lied and called a V2?

Judging from what I hear, you probably won't get anything.

Got my pad today... It is a V1 =\ oh well. Its in perfect condition, works, great sensitivity, looks awesome. No complaints. I dont know what u guys are talking about the arrows being flimsey, I weigh 265 and Ive been playing for a good hour on heavy, and its the same as when I got it. If the arrows crack ill replace them with lexan, but how thick should it be? 1/8?

Alright, revision:

After a couple of hours playing it, the sides have started to warp, but Im pretty sure its because I have it on 2 peices of plywood taped together, so there is a little bending between the peices of wood. The metal is a little warped, but im gonna try to hammer it back in place. I think it should prevent further warping if I put it on a solid peice of plywood.

Also, it still works fine, and there is no cracking of the arrows, but there is a crunching and squeaking noise every time I step on the right arrow. The first few times this really scared me because I thought I had cracked the arrow, and lost me a couple songs >=\ . If anyone knows how to fix the noises, please post, or send me a IM at Pepsiaddicto on AIM.

I may do PS2Freaks mod soon, if I see any sign of loss of sensitivity or cracking of the arrows. But, so far so good.

Other than that the pad is beautiful. I cant get over the shiny chrome platforms between the arrows. Every time I come in my room it gives me a warm fealing E1.gif .

Dont play games, do the mods, if you have only been playing on it for a few hrs just think what is going to happen in a few days? Check that arrow for rubbing on the sides. That is normal. If you keep playing on the pad with it degrading like it has dont be surprised if it is totally broken in a few days.

got some questions about the CG v2's

1. Do you still need to usa ps2freak's mod or do you just change the material of the arrow?

2. What is the material recommended for the arrows?

Ugh..

Well, my CG V2 had a prob today. I dont think it was the pad, tho. I think the cable from the control box to the PS2 lost some connection. Even with the pad unplugged form the control box, the start and select button don't do anything. frown.gif

Can I just use the cable from a controller? Does anyone know if the colors in the controller cable wires would be the same as the cable used in the CG?

humm...

I still need to know the thickness of the lexan you use to replace the plexi on the pad. Is it 1/8 in or 1/16?? Please respond.
