Looks like the Version 2 is the real deal. He is right though, the metal squares that are not arrows will dent under the weight but it really isn't a big deal. Dont bother building your own just get a version 2!!! E1.gif

Just got my MyMyBox pad, but somethings fishy about it.
I haven't played it yet because i want to get a plywood board. But when i got it (my bro was the one who received it from the courier and took it out of the cardboard box, not the official box), it didn't have the MyMyBox sticker on it. Its supposed to be the 2003 vers. with lights but the official MyMybox site says nothing about a 2003 vers. Crap, Does anyone else have this? or is this fake MyMybox?

i got it from these guys
www.gameenhancer.net
I saw a post on this forum that some one had saw this on ebay

i really think mymybox isn't worthy buying.
if you are not going to get cobalt flux or build your own,
you will need some modding no matter what you buy(cyphergame's, mymybox, etc..). if you need modding, why bother paying near $200
for mymybox ones when you can get cyphergame's version 2 for
less than $100 with shipping? even though i own 2 cobalt flux pads, i think cyphergame's version 2 is pretty good deal. even though you need to
mod it, it will save time considerably compared to building the whole pad by yourself.

I got mine for 100 USD, so I think its not too bad. The modification for mymybox is very little compared to cyphergames pads, but right now i dont' even know if the one i got is a real mymybox. Didn't have the usual mymybox sticker on it, and came in a different box. I emailed mymybox to see if there is such thing as a 2003 vers. of their pad.

Anybody else have this pad? it was labeled 2003 mymybox 6 button pad with lights

Me again,
just wondering if anyone has a pic of the back of the pad. I was looking at Ter's site and it doesn't seem like the back of the pad matches with his. I haven't opened it yet to i dunno if that area looks the same, but basically here's the layout

For every corner that the panels meet and end, there's a rubber foot. So if you look at where the metal square that has the screws on the top of the board. There should be a rubber stopper on the bottom. In ter's picture there's feet within the panels (ie. where you step on, esp the infamous one in the middle). I'll open it up later today, since i gotta get to work. Damn i'm tired...

P.S- if your wondering about the price i paid, it supposed to be some ebay special, as if you bought it in store it would've been 225 USD

I think your pad is going to break. If it is the Mymybox it is probably 1/2" thick and it sounds like it is. Like everyone says, Version 2's are the way to go. You have to mod EVERY non-CF pad so it is just part of the deal. Two V2s + modding= under $200.

I love my V2 pad. No mechanical breakdowns yet except for the acrylic arrows.

just got home and i just checked the pad. I'm scared to open up the bottom of the pad, but I noticed that there's a thin metal sheet covering the bottom (it looks like it'll bend very easily) and it doesn't cover the entire bottom. There's a little bit of foam showing, arg...
HELP!!, Anybody else have this pad as well? 2003 Mymybox 6 panels metal pad..

And of course, no response from Mymybox customer service saying that it is real or not (2003 pad, on website, only 2002 pad)

Well I'm never buying from CypherGames again. Why you ask? well its like this.

About a month ago i saw that they had the pads on ebay so i figured hell ill pick one up. So i waited for it to come. No control box, just the pad. So i was figuring "ok ill email the seller and ask him if it was supposed to be shipped with it or what". I wait like 4 days. I finally get an answer. "Its shipped separate via USPS. Just wait another week plz"Well i waited almost 2 weeks. Still nothing. So i email them again. Another 4 days pass before i get the response of "we cannot locate your account we need ur ebay item number blah blah" so i send that away. That was almost a week and a half ago. I urge people to be VERY WARY of buying items off CypherGames or their seller on ebay. A friend of mine in Minnesota ordered the exact same pad about 3 weeks before i ordered mine and he STILL HAS YET TO RECEIVE IT.

I make this post to both criticize the joke of a customer support service they have as well as warn others so they dont get fucking ripped off like my friend and I.

woah neko, that sounds terrible man.
I ordered from this place on ebay becuz its the closest place i know that has metal pads (I'm in Vancouver, Canada), got mine in 2 days.

I feel like i'm taking over this topic (i feel bad), but I just tried to open up the back of the pad so i can see the wiring and see if it resembles what Ter's mod looks like, but I can't remove the metal sheet!!!. I took off all the screws by hand (couldn't find a power tool) and tried to remove it. It's actually glued on. From the looks of it, this pad doesn't look like ter's at all. I'm assuming that Ter's pad didn't have the metal sheet, and that when he turns it over, he see's the wiring already. This pad I have also doesn't have as many rubber feet as his. I'm afraid that if i step on this, my foot will go thru because there are no feet where the panels are. The feet are positioned so they are at the corners of all the panels. Oh crap..

Any ideas??

ok.. so how much modding do i need for cyphergame's ver2 pads?
i got my CF pads but me and couple of my church friends want to put ddr at church too and can't afford to spend another $700 for 2 of them.
basically i know that i need to put plywood underneath the pads and replace acrylics on each arrow. whatelse do i need more? also about that metal sheet that are glued on the bottom of the pad, were you guys talking about cyphergame's ver2? is cyphergame's ver2 completely disassembable?

i dunno about cgs, but i'm talking about the pad that i got from www.gameenhancer.net, which is supposed to be 2003 Mymybox 6 panel metal pad.

And again, no reply from Mymybox concerning the existance of a 2003 pad, since only 2002 is listed on their site

version 2s need only the replacement of the acrylic arrows, that takes a whole 20 minutes to do, and thats IT! the pads are great, i have experienced no problems what so ever,

the arrows arent really lowered, but when stepped on they lower just a little bit. to tell you the truth, i cant tell the dif between arcade and my CGV2, except my arcade pad isnt so sensative, v2 is the way to go

ONLY BUY PAYSAFE AND GAMEWHOLESAILOR ON EBAY,

oh yeah if your pad broke you either got a piece of poopy or a version 1, i havent seen one "legit" Version 2 review thats negative. but yet ive seen alot of grief about the V1s so im guessing they corrected alot
