My 75%-guaranteed starting song is Spin the Disc maniac. Fun, not too heavy, and since it's a favorite, I'm honing a fairly basic routine on it.

Back when our arcade had the original Euromix, the warmup song would be one of the following three on maniac/expert: Do It All Night, Dam Dariram, or Stomp to my Beat. Mostly for the first two reasons listed above.

It depends on how long it's been since I played. If I haven't played in a week or so, I'll start with either Brilliant2U or B4U on Trick-Hidden (I always play hidden on trick songs unless I've never done them) I think these make excellent warm-up songs as they cover all the major aspects of the game, (8ths, jumps, runs, etc.) If I played the game, say, the day before then I'll start with an easy Maniac, like Think Ya Better D or Boom Boom Dollar

I usually start out with a fast-ish song, like Holic or Absolute or maybe even Jet World (just for the gallop practice)

Next, I give myself a challenge, like Sakura or MAX 300

Then it's all a tossup from there. Maybe if I'm feeling gutsy I do DXY! or any MAX 2 remix

Although I don't have a "must play" first song, I tend to play Trance de Janiero (sp?) on 7th Mix first quite often. Other times, I will play So Deep. Sometimes it's Saint Goes Marching. Other times, it's whatever has been stuck in my head during the day at work.

I usually start with a suitable warm-up. Something with a decent amount of stream and steps that aren't too complex. Usually A on Heavy or DDR on Oni, something along those lines.
