It starts out pretty slow and easy (compared to a lot of stuff I play), but it still has that crazy middle part to get me boosted up to full speed.
The other reason is because it's so fun, and I'm trying to work on my PA on that song. _________________

Usually Cartoon Heroes (Speedy Mix). I've also become fond of A. Ocasionally, Matsuri Japan, because just can't get enough of that song! (Color codes indicate difficulty. Doesn't that make a post so much more enjoyable to read?)
But I really don't know what the deal with me was today. I played Pump It Up on Crazy and Double earlier, and I was awesome for the time being, but later when I started playing DDR again I had the hardest time reading the arrows and ended a stage with a D. I gradually worked up to my better skill level. Even cleared Irresistibilement with an A. Not bad for the first time I've played it. |

on singles, I'll start with whatever the other person wants to start with, as long as it's not a speed song.
on doubles, I usually start with BlondeGirl heavy because it's easy to fc and gets me stretched out or Rain of Sorrow heavy because its not too fast, not too slow, fairly easy, and warms me up nicely. usually my second song is something like So Deep heavy. the transitions are good for warming up. _________________

I start out with somthing easy and fun just to get going. Here at the local arcade we have 4th+ and 6th Mix so...
4th+ first run is usually somthing like:
1. Dream A Dream (easy and I like the tune)
2. (This is a toss up could be anything that I scroll by that looks intresting and is a 7/8ish foot song) Holic, Ba Kkwo, Syncronized Love ect.
3. Saints Go Marching (love this song
As for the old Max1 machine...
1. Groove 2001 (Few weird steps to test my listening skillz a bit)
2. Freckles
3. So deep, Orion Civ Mix ect.
But basically you see the trend, slow-slow-heart pumper. =D |

I always switch it up.. play whatever I feel like.. any song.. yeah, even those ones nobody in my arcade plays anymore or even notices, like Keep on Movin or Put Your Faith in Me for example.. orrr, I ask others to pick a song for me as long as it's not one of the Para Survs or Maxes. Sometimes, I warm up with a Random All Nonstop. I usually like to end with an Oni course, too.. one that I haven't beaten. _________________

I do 1 of two things for my first game...
1. If I'm there to progress in difficulty (Work on PA/try new songs) I open with the "From Pop'n Music" or "Love Heart" Nonstop Course.
or
2. If I'm there to practice/try new Freestyle, I open with "Heaven is a '57 Metallic Gray" on Standard, Freestyle to that. Then I do "Bag" on Light and Freestyle to that. Then I end with "Breakdown" w/Dark, Stealth, Scroll Reverse and Freestyle to that.
Then I shift my weight over to the Max2 Machine and start composing new stuff while I wait for the line at the Exterme machine to cycle through again. (Because who plays Max2 at the Falls for $1 when the alley 1 Mile down the road has Max2 for 50 cents? I do, beacuse the volume is WAY DOWN at the alley. I was just sayin') _________________

I dont know how some people can start off with such hard stuff! I have to move into the good stuff slowly. I like to start with Aoi whatever (blue impulse) and then move into something like twinbee and then some actual stretching before i try a rythym and police or a So Deep. |

Always do an impromptu freestyle on Sana, or some slow-but-romantic song (I.e, White Lovers.) And then it's open season on So Deep and Max... If I can pass them that is... _________________
