hrmm im surprised no one has mentioned this one... they might add more arrows!!! bottom-left, bottom-right, heck... maybe even use the center as a button!! laugh.gif

Because it would require a whole new $500 dance pad. It's a cool idea though. It would be great to have 9 different stepping positions just like Techno Motion, but to have a far superior song list than Techno Motion.

I say they extend the limit for song lengths from 1:50 to 2:00.

I have a feeling it'll be a IIDX-like upgrade, with a new machine cabinet and better hardware. I'm still undecided over wether Konami would add more arrows to the pads - If anything they'd make it like DDR solo since they can just start reproduction of those.

Another good question to add is, do you think DDR will stay around much longer. The game has done really really well but it's getting to be old. Do you think the craze is going to be over soon? Any comments biggrin.gif

Yeah I was thinking of a para para paradise/DDR hybrid machine. You know, having both the leg and hand motions that are needed in dancing. That would be pretty cool.

They tried adding more arrows with DDR Solo. That failed (by their standards). They won't do that again.

I can't really see them making another DDR mix, but if they do, I just want more songs.... and umm..... better FMVs.... like IIDX's FMVs.... I'll be happy as long as there's new music, though. (And the music doesn't suck)

I want to see more good Dancemania music... like more of a 4th Mix kind of music selection.... I liked the music in 4th Mix and 5th Mix the most... I mean have good Dancemania songs like those games did, and have awesome IIDX songs like Extreme does! It would be perfect! :-P

And what exactly is the word on a DDREX2? Has Konami actually said DDREX is the last one?

I'm pretty sure they did that on a game called Ex2dancer.

It's called EZ 2 Dancer. And it's more of a hybrid of DDR (with 3 stepping positions) and 2 arm sensors a la Dance Maniax. Dance Station 3DDX is more of a DDR Para Para hybrid.

A DDR Machine with all the songs of all mixes so they wont have to make another after that. And a longer limit, 20 seconds is just not enough.

So EX is the last one? Well.... it's definantly not a dissappointment.

So this vivid member is trustworthy? Cause if that's the case, then this thread is just a dream thread...

I personally think DDR will be back someday... maybe not anytime soon, but I think the dancing game will return in one form or another sometime in the future...

I got an incredibly sick idea that Konami can do. It's so sick that if implemented, everyone plaything the song for the first time will be gurarenteed to mess up on their first try.

Ya know how people start trippin over stopping arrows (e.g. So Fabulous So Fierce, Healing Vision AM, etc.), so why don't they take it to the next level and make "rewind arrows."

Like a part of the song rewinds back a few measures and replays that same segment.

For example, a song can go: da da da daaa...freeze! singer: let's do that again...then a fast rewind and that same sequence replays.

That'll be tight for freestyling E7.gif !

Hasn't Konami said that Max/Max2 were both the last at one point? ...

Heavy metal music! C'mon heavy metal isn't very danceable to the average person. A DDR 80's mix should have Cyndi Lauper, Men Without Hats, Dead or Alive, Duran Duran, and other greats of the 80's.
