Hey, I'm new to DDRFreak. I got DDRMAX and 2 pads around mid - late February this year, and have been trying to play every chance I get.
So far, I think I've been progressing pretty well... I had been playing DDR at a friend's house for a little bit and I was able to do 3 - 4 footers by the time I got my own game and pads. Now, 2 1/2 months later, I'm able to do most 7 - 8 footers, and I've passed 2 catas with a "D"... but I'm hoping to improve
Anyway, just wanted to say what's up... and if you guys have any tips on improving stamina, it would help out a lot. I think that's the problem I'm having about not being able to pass more catas. |

Welcome to the boards.
If you want to improve your stamina, play more! Seriously, a good selection of songs for someone at your level would be Healing Vision Angelic Mix and Max 300 on standard, Paranioa Evolution and Dirty Mix 2 on heavy, and The Cube, I guess.
Play for at least 30 minutes at a time, and try to play for longer and longer periods of time. Be sure to drink plenty of water, too.
I hope that helps. _________________

If you live on the north side of Chicago, check out the machine locations page. There are a lot of places to play around here There are good players around. |

Sup bro...welcome to the DDR Freak boards! Enjoy your stay!
AS for your progress you are progressing JUST fine Dont worry...stamina building is important.
-Exersise - Go run for 2 miles at least EVERY other night! Trust me it'll get better
-Physical activities. Do you do anything that requires your feet? Soccer, sk8boarding, surfing, martial arts?
that's what helped me _________________

Thanks for your help, guys. I'll be sure to follow your tips and I'll let you know in a little while how much they helped me improve.
Flea Plus - I actually do live near the northside, but when I go to the arcades to play, I'm usually at the DDRMAX2 machine at Waveland Bowl... (Near Addison and Western)... However, this Wednesday (May 14th, I believe) I'll be at the Gameworks right by Woodfield Mall with a group from school, so if you're there, I just might see you...
Vi0LeT - I don't really do any physical activities, so I think I'll just have to stick to trying to run those 2 miles every other day.
Once again, thanks for all your help... I'm going to go play now, see how it works out... |
