Do any of you know where some PIU step files can be found?
Cause recently due to dumbasses going to the arcade DDR as been removed and I am going to start playing PIU alot more and I would like to play on my computer some of the songs so I can get accustomed to it. _________________

With this shoe size you should be able to do a 5 panel jump with one foot. _________________

I'm from Northern Virginia, and just out of curiosity, who are these Pump players you speak of, and where do they play at? To my knowledge the only Pump machines in our area are the Premiere 2 in Woodbridge (my fav), a PREX in Sterling, and a Premiere 1 in Colonial Heights. I'm wondering if I might have met some of them before... |

I finally did it! I passed Loner on Hard!! It felt kind of easy so I got cocky and did it on crazy and got my ass handed to me. Oh well my next goal is Turkey March. Still having trouble with the 3 steps though........ |

Mad Cappa's a cool guy. He worked at Planet Fun while they were open, and I saw him every time I made the two-hour trip up there. He also owned me at Initial D. _________________

Oh, yeah I know Alex.. err Mad Cappa. He told me he was going to Penn this weekend but it didn't occur to me that it might be him you were referring to. Eh, too bad I missed it, I really want to play on an Extra machine. Hell, I'd like to be playing on any machine. Without Planet Fun I've been virtually Pump-less for 2 monthes. Hopefully they get their stuff straightened out soon so I can get back to playing PIU on a regular basis. |

I just got back from playing a recent Pump mix, but I don't know what it is. It does have Csikos Post, Winter, Dr.M, and The Emperor, but it also has songs like Hatred, Com' Back (which I thought was axed from PREX2), Another Truth, Seperation from Her, and Turkey March. It also had all Premire 2 modes. And Ive heard that Premire 2 has nothing but new songs. And the stationary arrows have a metallic box near them that goes to the Technofied Life bar.
Anyways, I think the background on Csikos Post doesn't fit. The music is all dark and classical while the movie shows cowboys, bulls, and more Western themed stuffed. I think AndaMiro lost their marbles while making that movie. Winter and DR.M does fit. The interface is pretty quick, and I hope the normal rename won't confuse people into playing Crazy mode, then choose the oh-so-dreaded Can Can on Prex (people think that the song that pops up you must play). Csikos Post is almost an onslaught of constant 4ths. Winter is a tad bit easier than CP. Ill ask my management to upgrade ASAP, once of course I figure out the name. _________________

Hey guys, how's it going?! I stumble onto this forum by accident and I see some posts about me! Well, it was fun finally trying out the Prex 2 machine up in Philly this past Friday, even though the left side was kinda messed up.
Brenton, um I mean FowlActually, the Prex machine up in Sterling is still out for repairs. Me and 4 other people went up there this past Thursday night to go there and see the machine GONE! We ask them what happened and they said some guy broke it and it was sent for repairs. *Sigh* oh well!
Me and at least two other people are going down to play Premiere 2 in Colonial Heights this coming Friday. If any of you wish to join us, it would be great! |

Okay, my local arcade just got a PIU machine (instead of a DDR EX machine, darn it!) In any case, there are two modes which I have no clue about. There are 4 total, normal and hard (those two are obvious), but what are "battle" and "crazy?" Thanks in advance! _________________

Battle is a competition between two players. You may attack the other player with something like a speed modifier, or "vanish" if you break your combo. The higher the combo broken, the more painful the attack. This is true for the Perfect Collection, as far as I know, but I'm sure it holds true for future versions.
Crazy Mode is the most sadistic and cruel of all modes. It's like Heavy Mode in DDR, but some may argue that it's harder. Speed modifiers are almost a "must have" on this mode. I've been playing for over 7 months and I still fear a lot of the Crazy songs. |

crazy is IMO a joke. I cant imagine anyone being able to do some of the harder songs unless they like memorized the entire song and are fast and flexable as hell.
Battle is good bc you dont have to worry about failing if you start to suck. Thus saving cash. But I dont know if different places would have different battle modes. Here on our PREXs battle mode all you do is pick 3 songs, (1st song-normal, 2nd song-hard, and 3rd song-crazy) and whoever does better at the end of the 3 songs is the winner. But it could be different in other places too. Like when I was playing in gameworks in Cincinnati, their PIU had like a feature on whoevers combo broke, their side would get insanly fast. I kept handing my friend his ass when we played there
But PIU is no DDR, but if thats all you got you will eventually start to warm up to it..........I hate to admit it but I did |

You are saying this because you're terrible. Go back to kitty heavy mode.

This is a good thing. I would hate for something else to come out and be as horrible in quality as DDR is.

I dont pretend to be that great off a PIU player, but even i can do a lot of the crazy stuff. I have said this like at least 6 times on this thread, but i will say it again:It's not that hard. It just looks that way. I remember a time when dynamite rave on basic was impossible. But if i kept thinking that, i would have never got better, tried other games in the genre, and would have never known how much fun Winter on crazy or Will o the wisp on all wild style could be. _________________
