I don't know, but it rhymes with chode. So... maybe it's german, for sprode? Or Norwegian? maybe... swedish?

Hey, at freq.com , Harmonix has supplied two mp3s:
DJ HMX ft. Plural - Cool Baby
Chris Child ft. Melissa Kaplan - Shades of Blue
Don't worry, Harmonix put them up cuz they made the game and a lot of guys from Harmonix are on the fourms. So, their mp3s are legit.
If they put up Komputer Kontroller - Robot Rockers, I'll be one happy freq.

I noticed on some songs it says "Harmonix *something*" Does that mean they are Amplitude originals, and that they COULD, if they so chose, release a soundtrack???? HM?!

Okay, here's a toughie:
FreQuency or Amplitude?
If you could own only one of the two for your Playstation 2, which would you prefer? I'm sort of torn in the middle... I like Amplitude's song list, and although the remix mode is more featured, the ability to edit the freestyle tracks and play them back as such is sorely missed... And I can see how some would prefer FreQuency's songlist. But then there's the much-improved multi mode of Amp, plus the higher scores, true online capability (I don't use it... Does FreQ have online play? If so, how does one connect as it has no menu option for it?) So I'd have to say my favorite is Amp...quenc...tu...free...
Oh, heck. Right now I like Amplitude more 'cause it's shiny 'n new, but FreQuency retailing for $20-30 versus Amp's $40-50 isn't a bad deal. I'll have to see which one comes out on top... oh, and I have been playing Zelda: The Wind Waker quite a bit, even giving up days in Animal Crossing. And with Amplitude. But that's a different topic...

i like how the arrow tells you where you can go next....aww, but i still sort of miss the ring.
i like the song list better too, i think more artists were willing to contribute to the game this time around. and graphically speaking, there is no contest whatsoever.

Arrow? What are you talking about?
Speaking of graphics, I've been noticing that the backgrounds look REALLY bad at times. Like at the beginning of... Cherry Lips I think, if you look to the right BEFORE you start hitting notes, you'll notice a lot of the textures jump around and it's really distracting to me. One thing that makes me go  is that the little green line that connects each crystal to the next, isn't curved like the tracks. The tracks are purrrrfectly curved, but the green lines are just lines connected to each other to seem flowing. It's not important, but I'm just nitpicking... =/
Got another 3,000 score On P!nk "respect", 3306. It's not THAT impressive, considering the highest score is 7,000 something  . I don't understand how ANYONE could get that high of a score without using cheats.

The arrow that is pointing down on the track, the green one, it notifys you when you can get a multiplyer, like.. to get a 2x combo thing

I just got the new issue of OPM (Official US Playstation Magazine) yesterday. Inside, they got an interview with someone from Harmonix plus small detailed info on the bands for newbs. On the demo, one feature is a look at Amplitude, with interviews with guys from Harmonix (Sorry, no Robotkid or Kasson Crooker (aka Symbion Project, Komputer Kontroller, Cosmonut Zero, DJ HMX, and The Duke of Belgium Waffles from Freezepop! That's right, Kasson is The Duke!) interview).
Also, the Amplitude website is updated. Sorry, the guess the song feature is gone.

QUESTION: What else is on the demo disc?
Back on topic: Komputer Kontroller is insanely hard. I can only get 80% on it Oh, this is on insane mode by the way.
Also, is anyone else having trouble unlocking Gameboyz-Push on Insane mode?! I can't get enough points! All the songs are really hard to combo, and I can't get 2,000 or more on any of them
