Terrible News! I looked at the box art for Amplitude at [url]www.ebgames.com[/url] and I find this, This game is gonna be rated [b]T FOR TEEN[/b]. Why is that? Because of too much cussing in some of the lyrics on all of the songs. ([b]D'OH!!!![/b]) But it's not all that bad or terrible. It's just a little heads up. Thank You.

why is this terrible news? don't you have to be all of 13 or so to buy a T game? last i checked, the vast majority of <13yr-olds have their parents buy games for them anyway (I know this is a generalization, plz dont flame if you are one of the few who buys games for yourself, I'm just reporting statistics here heh)

if i remember correctly, didnt they just edit out the 1 or 2 swears that were in songs from freq anyway? if they're edited out in amp, why would the game need a teen rating?

Its Rated teen because of mild lyrics (likely words like "hell" and "Damn" and minor/ very suddle "Sexual" references, that kids most likely wouldn't get).

The MAJOR reason Why its rated teen is because of online play, if you noticed alot of online Games Require a teen rating because you cannot control the online content. and Some Games have a Separate Rating all together for online play as well.

But to me it doesn't matter if its teen or not, because i'm an adult and i make my own decisions... But i do empathyze with the younger crowd who have Crazy Parents that won't allow Teen Rated Games ( even tho they are 16, and 17) - Yes i know some parents like that. (my stepmum for one).

played the amp demo today.
The garbage song didnt grab me as much as ex-girlfriend, but the quarashi track is top notch.

And the graphics....OMG.
While i miss the tunnel effect, i like how it's layered now, and the backdrops are stunning. I miss the scratch/axe track, and the ability to go all the way around the song, but i'll get used to it.

The song list though...well, i'll see when i get the full version. BTW, any chance of a freq soundtrack? I can't find orbit- XLR8R anywhere...

electro tal, the scratch and axe tracks are both in the game, they simply weren't featured in the demo. so don't worry!

IGN has a movie of scratching, check it out... apparently when you go into "freestyle" mode you launch high above the track itself to bust out

edit: ok, i had heard you were "high above the track", and had even watched that vid once before... but after watching it again, you're about all of 3 feet above the track. hehe
