Home Version Course, if I remember correctly, is the only one yet to be unlocked. I'm gonna guess that's Ie Senyou. |

wow, playing through the game, that doesn't seem like a whole lot of songs, but actually going through the list takes a long time...
I guess the reason why the mix feels so small is because the majority of the songs are older ones (but there is a good number of songs that are new, don't get me wrong...)
Eh... I'll go back and play all the classics to keep me occupied...
but, what I don't get is why they didn't save all the tough oni courses for the last unlock? and thats a large number of unlocks to get in one sitting... they'll probably do another one of those "unlock 31" deals as in max2. _________________

They unlocked all the onis for Internet Ranking purposes. My speculation is that the rest of the unlocks will come in two installments, since there is still so much to go. |

And speaking of lack of English:

Dude... You. Are. NOT. Japanese!
Don't include a RANDOM word in another language, and leave the REST OF THE ENTIRE POST in English.
Speak ALL English on English forums, and ALL Japanese on Japanese forums. But do NOT mix them around as only bilingual people will have a ****ing clue what you are talking about.
Can't you just say Blue Impulse!?
You've heard of Aaron, he has spent a large portion of his life in Japan, he can speak Japanese FAR better than pretty much everyone here, and on his website, aaroninJAPAN.com , when he is listing the songs, does he call it Dou Shoudoa or whatever the frick it is in Ewok? No. He calls it "Blue Impulse", because that part of his site is in ENGLISH. And guess what also, these forums of this site, too, are in ENGLISH. OMG!
We all, really, truely, care that you can speak/read some of the Japanese language, maybe you're taking a class in school to learn about it, maybe you can speak a few words, such as the names of a few Oni Courses/Songs in DDR, maybe you just don't have that good of an english vocabulary and adjective words like "Blue" are beyond your grasp, whatever the reason, please keep it on the appropriate forum. |

Its called Aoi Shoudou not Blue Impulse. Its a Japanese fucking game. That first paragraph sounded like border line racism. Learn some respect for another culture. _________________

JESUS CHRIST CALM THE FUCK DOWN.
You really have no right to say how he should type it. If he wants to say that, then great. If Aaron wants to say "Blue Impulse" then he can.

I must add my two cents here.
First off, alphabetically, I presume Aoi Shoudou/Blue Impulse/Youthful Urges is put alphabetically in the A section when sorted, which would cause confusion. Also, seeing as it can be translated two different ways, and has been called those three different names since its appearance on IIDX, some may just be used to it, also meaning people understand it. And in IIDX, many Japanese titled songs(I'm not sure about Aoi Shoudou) are spelled in English and semi-alphabetically sorted, which means many people would be used to calling it "Aoi Shoudou."
Anyways, you might as well just go and speak Latin. |

It's called Aoi Shoudou because the title is written in friggin' Japanese.
All the other songs in that list have English titles. That one has a Japanese title.
Y'know "Matsuri Japan"? "Mikeneko Rock"? They're written that way because the title is written in mixed Japanese and English characters.
Aoi Shoudou is just called "Aoi Shoudou," in Japanese characters. Why should we call it "Blue Impulse" when we call those other songs "Mikeneko Rock" and "Matsuri Japan"? _________________

So what exactly is ther left to unlock? I know Sakura, the survivor song series, legend of max, and dance dance revolution, as well as maybe another nonstop or oni, but do you think they will make the special modifiers available for normal play, such as .25x or .5x, as well as reverse boost or the fuwa fuwa crap i read about. BTW I dont see myself using fuwa fuwa at all but it would be funny to scare newbies by playing something easy with it on (.5 ,reverse, sudden, reverse boost, fuwa fuwa, flat, shuffle or whatever) |

Concerning Aoi Shoudou=Blue Impulse/Youthful Urges, Daikenkai=Serious Opinion, whatever. Here's why we're calling it Aoi Shoudou and not Blue Impulse. It's SPELLED SO on the list of songs scrolling by after a game ends. The only reason Aaron has it listed as Blue Impulse (for that matters, Green Impulse until some of us corrected him ) is because his was one of the premiere sources of info and he wanted it to be accessible to everyone...
...anyways, as for what's left to unlock, we're really hoping for the mods, but it's all up to speculation at the moment -_- |

It'd make sense if the very last unlock code comes out on the same week MAX2 for PS2 comes out in Japan. (4th week of April, 5 weeks from now.) |

I would further more like to expand on the "Aoi Shoudou" thing. Those who know kanji know that the "Aoi" isnt the kanji for "blue" it is the subkanji for "young" or "youth" and Shoudou can mean "impulse" or a "strong urge" so take that into consideration too ^_~ _________________

I remember when 8th Style songs were first being revealed, it was called "Youthful Urges," and then slowly sites started citing it as "Blue Impulse" and then finally some sites called it, "Blue Impulse ~Youthful Urges~."
Maybe most call it Blue Impulse 'cause "Blue Impulse" sounds cooler? Youthful Urges just sounds nas-tay. |

I think the reason "Blue" was used was because, at least in Chinese, one word meaning of youthful has its roots from the blue/greenish color's association with youthful nature. Thus Blue Impulse. It does sound nicer than Youthful Urges |
