I have seen the Cobalt Flux pad but its kinda too expensive for me, the BNS pad is always sold out, and the cheap metal pads break too fast. I haven't seen the Konami metal pad and was wondering where I could find one.

The thing that I love most about my Cobalt Flux pads is that the fact it is 1 piece, unlike the Games Depot pad I had, and it doesnt really have any screws that will need to be tightened frequently. Also, one thing I couldn't stand about my GD pads is the "click" sound that resulted from stepping on an arrow. The CF has a more arcade-sounding "thump" when the arrow is stepped on.

the cobalt flux is pocket change compared to the konami metal pads. that is if you can find a konami metal pad for sale.

i also have my cf i queue, but i can't use it until christmas, due to it being a christmas gift.. disgust.gif

Looks great, if I was buying a metal pad it'd be a Cobalt. I usually take an interest in metal pad threads, since if I was getting one it'd HAVE to be reliable (living in the UK, it's expensive to ship the thing back).

I figure the extra cost for a good pad with a company with good customer service is going to be very cheap compared to the cost of shipping should my pad develop a fault I can't fix and they decide to take it back.

If they (any seller) decide not to take it back I really am screwed, so a bit more for reliability I can swing.

i'm just wondering how your Cobalt pads are holding up over time. most of these posts were made quite a while ago.

Still working like the day I bought it. I did have an unfortunate accident last week with a wire inside the control box being ripped from the solder point making the left arrow stop responding. My theory: Somehow I managed to move the cable connecting the control box to the platform a little too much in the wrong direction, and that put stress on the cable that got ripped apart (there was NO slack on it). I do have one of the older control boxes so its possible this isn't an issue anymore. I emailed CF tech support and they mailed me a new control box the next day E1.gif

Oh, and I did this to stop the sliding on carpet. Sucker doesn't slide a millimeter now E4.gif

My CF pad gets here in 1-2 weeks, and by the time I get it the pad will have existed longer than my ignition was in good condition...

it was MAX 300 on Standard... BTW I would like to comment on the way you played it... I noticed you weren't really trying on the 1/8 notes... I could tell by the sound... are you going to try making a different video??
